## 15Five Reviews
  ### 1. Essential for People Ops and Engagement, but Clunky Goal Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** falguni p. | People operation lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2026

**What do you like best about 15Five?**

I am a People Operations Lead in a growing mid-sized company that implemented 15Five to replace an antiquated annual review system using spreadsheets. Especially, I wanted to create an environment where feedback is continuous, not stressful and once a year. I use it every day to take an overall pulse check on company morale using pulse surveys, to run our quarterly performance review cycles, and to make sure that our managers are doing meaningful and documented 1-on-1s with their direct reports every two weeks. Within our HR team, 15Five is our central system of record for employee engagement, peer recognition and organizational alignment. I like the way that 15Five encourages employee engagement in a way that is natural, not a burden, and feels like a benefit. Our weekly check-in is a game-changer and allows our leadership team to get a live view of how our company is doing and any issues or roadblocks that can arise in our departments before they become a big problem. The 'High Fives' feature has also been a huge success for us and we are creating a culture of peers recognising each other, which we have been finding difficult to do in a hybrid working environment. It's easy to set up review cycles from an HR admin point of view. The automated nudges of the system save me many hours from pinging on email busy managers for on-time team evaluations.

**What do you dislike about 15Five?**

The engagement and review capabilities are superb, but the tracking module for Objectives and Key Results (OKR) seems a bit inflexible and awkward for us. The interface becomes confusing when dealing with the more complex, multi-departmental objectives and many of our team leads report that they must manually update their progress each month. Moreover, it isn't especially easy to administer, as the custom reporting features are a bit restricted. I often find myself needing to export specific historical engagement data for executive board meetings, but have to reformat the engagement data into a raw csv file and then create the charts myself, which is quite a bit of a pain for a pretty good platform.

**What problems is 15Five solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The largest issue that 15Five solved for our organization was lack of visibility into manager-employee relationships. Prior to this tool, HR had no idea if 1-on-1s were even taking place or if they were working. In a real-world scenario, a few months ago our customer support team showed a spike in employees' morale that was so sharp and sudden that analytics on the platform alerted us to it. I spotted this downward trend early in the week, with weekly check-ins, and so I could step in promptly. We found them very understaffed and, as one product rolled out recently they were stressed and immediately accepted the budget for temporary staff. We wouldn't have been aware of the burnout until people left their jobs, and that would have cost us a lot of money in terms of turnover.

  ### 2. Intuitive, Fast to Roll Out, and Backed by Exceptionally Responsive Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dollie B. | Senior UX Product Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2026

**What do you like best about 15Five?**

The platform’s intuitiveness is its biggest strength. It feels natural for both our employees and the management team, which made the rollout across departments impressively smooth. Implementation was fast and didn’t require much heavy lifting from IT. I’ve worked it into my daily routine for check-ins and goal tracking, and customer support has been exceptionally responsive whenever we’ve run into a snag. The mix of features—from performance reviews to engagement surveys—offers a well-rounded toolkit without making the interface feel cluttered or overwhelming.

**What do you dislike about 15Five?**

Some features feel a bit restricted unless you’re willing to move up to a higher-tier plan. Although the core functionality is excellent, we’ve occasionally run into situations where an advanced customization or reporting option was locked behind a more expensive version. I think offering a little more flexibility—especially around custom field labels—at the standard level would go a long way toward making the tool feel better tailored to our unique internal workflows.

**What problems is 15Five solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has effectively bridged the gap caused by the inconsistent communication that used to plague our remote-first team. By standardizing regular check-ins and offering a clear framework for aligning goals, it has helped build a culture of transparency that simply wasn’t there before. This ongoing feedback loop hasn’t just boosted our overall engagement scores; it has also tangibly improved team performance, because everyone is now moving in the same direction with a shared understanding of our priorities.

**Official Response from Caitlin Ludke:**

> Hi Dollie, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us! We’re so glad to hear the platform has felt intuitive for both employees and managers, and that your rollout process was smooth and easy to implement across teams. It’s also great to know that features like check-ins, goal tracking, reviews, and engagement surveys have become part of your daily workflow without adding unnecessary complexity.

We also appreciate your honest feedback around pricing tiers and customization flexibility. We understand how important it is for teams to tailor workflows and reporting to fit their organization’s unique needs and we’ll be sure to share this with our product team as we continue improving the experience across plans.

Thanks again for being a 15Five partner!

  ### 3. 15Five Makes Performance Conversations Human and Keeps Goals Aligned

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alfred M. | People Operations Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about 15Five?**

I really appreciate how 15Five strips away the usual corporate heaviness from performance management, so conversations feel genuinely human and straightforward. Having our weekly check-ins, OKRs, and recognition all centralized in one dashboard has been a huge time-saver. It helps keep the whole team aligned around our high-level goals, without the process turning into a tedious HR compliance exercise that just ticks boxes.

**What do you dislike about 15Five?**

The initial setup can feel pretty overwhelming without proper onboarding, especially because nearly all features are enabled by default. For a fast-moving team trying to stay lean, that makes the platform feel unnecessarily process-heavy right from the start. I would have preferred a more phased rollout, where we could activate features gradually and only when we were ready to use them effectively.

**What problems is 15Five solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It effectively tackles the ongoing problem of inconsistent feedback and misalignment between managers and their direct reports. By putting in place a consistent, predictable cadence for goal tracking and one-on-ones, we’ve been able to shift our culture from purely reactive to more proactive. We can now surface potential blockers and team frustrations earlier in the cycle, which makes the feedback we give far more actionable and constructive.

**Official Response from Caitlin Ludke:**

> Hi Alfred, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with 15Five. We’re so glad to hear the platform has helped create a more approachable and meaningful performance management experience for your team. It’s especially great to know that having check-ins, goals, and recognition in one place has helped keep everyone aligned without adding unnecessary complexity or administrative overhead.

We also appreciate your thoughtful feedback around onboarding and feature rollout. We understand how enabling a wide range of functionality upfront can feel overwhelming for teams that are trying to stay agile and focused. Your suggestion around a more phased, gradual activation experience is incredibly valuable, and we’ll be sure to share this with our product and onboarding teams as we continue working to make implementation feel more intuitive and tailored to each organization’s pace and needs.

Thanks again for the feedback and for being a part of the 15Five community!

  ### 4. 15Five Keeps Goal Tracking and Team Updates Lightweight and Visible

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Donn B. | Growth Marketer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2026

**What do you like best about 15Five?**

I really appreciate how 15Five provides a consistent, lightweight framework for sharing updates and tracking our progress toward quarterly goals. It keeps the communication loop open and moving without the process feeling heavy or time-consuming. It’s also been a great way to maintain visibility into what the rest of the team is working on, without having to schedule constant sync meetings that would otherwise interrupt our actual work.

**What do you dislike about 15Five?**

While the system is efficient overall, some of the recurring check-in questions start to feel repetitive after several months of use. I’d really appreciate more variety, or an option to automatically rotate through different prompts, so the reflection process stays fresh and engaging. Without that added customization, the check-in can sometimes come across as a routine chore instead of a thoughtful opportunity for growth and genuine team connection.

**What problems is 15Five solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This platform addresses the ongoing issue of goal misalignment and the lack of visibility into project blockers. Having a central place to surface these challenges and share clear status updates helps me stay closely aligned with our team’s priorities. It has also helped me get the support I need much faster, which has noticeably improved our team’s execution and follow-through on key initiatives across the entire department.

**Official Response from Caitlin Ludke:**

> Hi Donn, thank you for taking the time to review 15Five! We’re so glad to hear the platform has helped create a more seamless way for your team to stay aligned and connected without adding extra overhead to the workday. It’s especially great to hear that the visibility across teams has helped reduce the need for constant sync meetings while still keeping communication flowing.

We also really appreciate your perspective on the check-in experience over time. Keeping reflections meaningful and engaging is incredibly important, and your feedback around adding more variety and customization to recurring prompts is valuable. We’ll be sure to share this with our product team!

I also wanted to let you know that we offer the option to rotate check-in questions using the question bank. You may need to coordinate setting this up with your 15Five Admin, but we are also always here to help. I am including a few articles below that you may find helpful:

  ### 5. Weekly Check-Ins and 1:1 Agendas Transformed Our Meeting Culture

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Myron L. | Senior Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2026

**What do you like best about 15Five?**

The weekly check in and the 1 on 1 agenda tools have truly transformed our meeting culture. Both managers and employees arrive irritated with a clear outline, which keep our conversation focused and much more productive than they were previously. In also really value the real time recognition features.

**What do you dislike about 15Five?**

The reporting suite has a bit of a learning curve, and it can take some time for new users to figure out exactly where the deep-dive analytics are located. While the data is high quality, the navigation within the reporting tab could be more intuitive. I also believe the platform could benefit from more flexible customisation options for the internal engagement surveys.

**What problems is 15Five solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before implementing this, we struggled to maintain consistent visibility into employee sentiment across different departments. 15five solved this by providing a structured way to gather regular feedback and track engagement trends. It has empowered our managers to identify and address team concerns early, which has significantly improved our internal problem-solving and overall team morale.

**Official Response from Caitlin Ludke:**

> Hi Myron, thanks for sharing your feedback on 15Five! It’s great to hear that your team’s meetings have become more focused and productive, and that the platform is helping create better structure and recognition in your day-to-day work.

We also appreciate your thoughts on areas we can improve. We understand how important it is for a tool to be user-friendly and easy to navigate, and that's the experience we aim to provide our users. Customization is also top of mind as we know that flexibility and being able to tailor reporting to meet your team's needs is extremely valuable. We will be sure to share this with our product team as we continue to iterate on the 15Five experience.

**What do you dislike about 15Five?**

**What problems is 15Five solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It effectively tackles the ongoing problem of inconsistent feedback and misalignment between managers and their direct reports. By putting in place a consistent, predictable cadence for goal tracking and one-on-ones, we’ve been able to shift our culture from purely reactive to more proactive and intentional.

**Official Response from Caitlin Ludke:**

  ### 7. Robust Continuous Culture Insights with Some Administrative Friction

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anashika K. | People Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2026

**What do you like best about 15Five?**

I log into 15Five first thing every morning to check our company-wide Pulse Ratings and monitor real-time employee sentiment trends across our various departments. My typical daily workflow involves analyzing these engagement scores so I can proactively sync with department leaders before minor team friction turns into a larger retention risk. The Best-Self Review module has completely transformed how we run our semi-annual performance cycles, making it incredibly simple to track self-assessments and manage 360-degree review calibrations in one clean space. On the technical side, the platform utilizes a robust REST API that automates user provisioning and data syncing directly through our BambooHR integration. This background automation ensures that whenever our core employee database updates, reporting lines and active profiles adjust instantly without requiring any manual spreadsheet uploads.

**What do you dislike about 15Five?**

My primary frustration happens when the executive board requests an urgent workforce analytics summary right before a strategic meeting, and the reporting filters experience heavy lag. Staring at a spinning loading wheel while attempting to export aggregate High Fives data and engagement metrics across multiple sub-teams under an intense time crunch is deeply stressful. Additionally, managing administrative permissions for matrix reporting structures or cross-functional project teams feels unnecessarily clunky. Trying to grant a temporary dotted-line project manager visibility into specific weekly Check-ins requires too many manual overrides and custom workarounds. The platform’s automated notification system can also be a bit rigid, occasionally sending automated participation reminders to employees who are currently out on approved medical or parental leave unless an admin manually pauses their accounts.

**What problems is 15Five solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before we rolled out 15Five, our organizational development data was a fragmented mess of isolated spreadsheets, manual exit interview files, and outdated annual engagement surveys that only gave us lagging insights after problems had already peaked. We had no real-time pulse on company culture, which meant we were constantly reacting to talent retention issues and employee burnout when it was already too late to intervene. Implementing this platform completely solved that data gap by replacing our old, stressful annual performance reviews with a continuous, data-driven framework.
On a daily operational level, it has completely eliminated the need for my team to manually chase down managers for status updates or tracking documentation, freeing up our schedule to focus on actual talent strategy and proactive coaching. For our distributed and cross-functional teams, it has broken down communication silos by giving managers a structured space to align daily tasks with broader company objectives, which has noticeably improved trust and transparency across remote departments. My overall honest assessment is that while the analytics reporting interface can feel sluggish under heavy data loads, the platform is an absolute necessity for turning chaotic human resources processes into a modern, highly strategic People Operations function.

**Official Response from Caitlin Ludke:**

> Hi Anashika, thanks for taking the time to review 15Five!

We're so happy to hear that 15Five is helping you stay on top of employee sentiment with Pulse data, streamline your performance review cycles, and save time through our BambooHR integration. We also appreciate your candid feedback on the platform. We understand how frustrating reporting lag can be when you're working against a deadline, and we hear your feedback around administrative permissions for matrix organizations and notification flexibility for employees on leave. These are valuable insights, and we'll be sure to share them with our Product team as we continue improving the platform.

  ### 8. Revolutionized Our Team Performance Tracking with 15Five!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ganesh K. | Senior Consultant, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about 15Five?**

I use 15Five in my organization for goal setting, reviewing, and tracking the performance of my team members. 15Five has really helped streamline getting weekly updates from my team, which was previously a bottleneck. I can easily set up one-on-one discussions, which gives me visibility into my team's progress. One of the best parts that I like about 15Five is monitoring my team's engagement with the pulse survey. It's very innovative and easy to use. I share feedback with each team member through pulse surveys, and it doesn't feel like a burden to participate, so almost every team member joins in, making the performance management process more effective. I've heard the setup was easy, and the customer service team is very responsive and knowledgeable.

**What do you dislike about 15Five?**

I feel it would be better if the application allows more customizations in the pulse surveys.

**What problems is 15Five solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use 15Five for goal setting and performance tracking. It streamlines getting weekly updates and lets me set up one-on-one discussions with my team, giving me visibility into their progress.

**Official Response from Caitlin Ludke:**

> Hi Ganesh, thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. It’s great to hear how 15Five is helping you streamline weekly updates, run more effective 1:1s, and stay closely connected to your team’s engagement. Creating that kind of visibility without adding extra burden is exactly what we aim for, so it’s really meaningful to hear that your team is actively participating and finding value in the pulse surveys.

We also appreciate your feedback on offering more customization within the platform. We know how important it is for teams to tailor surveys to their unique needs, and that’s something we’re continuing to explore. We'll be sure to pass this feedback along to our product team.

Thanks again for your review!

  ### 9. Simple and well structured tool for continuous performance and task management.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kajal S. | Quality Assurance Engineer, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about 15Five?**

The main objective of using this software is to manage people in our organisation, it's weekly check ins and 1 on 1 tool helping us to keep communication consistant and helps manager and employees to stay on the same page and the goral setting OKR tracking feature make it clear what need to be achieved and keep everyone aligned.

**What do you dislike about 15Five?**

It's little bit complex when you first start using it because there are so many features. But after spending some time with it, it becomes much easier to navigate and use effectively.

**What problems is 15Five solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The features I find most valuable is the weekly check-ins, as they make communication simple, regular, and natural rather than forced and also track task easily on which i am working. They allow employees to easily share updates and challenges, which helps managers stay informed and provide timely support.

**Official Response from Caitlin Ludke:**

> Hi Kajal, thanks for taking the time to review 15Five! It’s great to hear that the platform is helping your team stay aligned and keep communication consistent, especially through regular check-ins and goal tracking.

We also understand that there are a lot of features within our platform, which can make getting started a bit of a learning curve. This onboarding experience is something we’re always working to improve, but it’s great to hear that it becomes easier to navigate as you spend more time with it. We’re continuously exploring how to make the ramp-up experience even smoother, and we'll be sure to share this with our product team.

Thanks again for your thoughtful feedback!

  ### 10. A structured and practical platform for ongoing performance management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tarun K. | IT Consultant, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

**What do you like best about 15Five?**

Over time, what stands out more clearly is how consistently the platform supports structured check-ins and ongoing feedback without adding friction to the workflow. As I continued using it, the experience felt predictable and easy to maintain, especially when revisiting goals and tracking progress across different review cycles. The way feedback, goals and check-ins connect feels deliberate rather than fragmented, which helps in keeping everything aligned without needing multiple tools.

From a day to day perspective, the platform remains reliable for routine performance tracking. It doesn’t require frequent adjustments once set up, which makes it practical for repeated use. I also noticed that navigation and feature discovery become more intuitive with continued use, reducing the need for external guidance. Overall, the experience feels consistent and manageable even when used over a longer period.

**What do you dislike about 15Five?**

The trial duration still feels somewhat limited when trying to evaluate the platform in a more realistic team setting. While the core features are accessible, it can be difficult to fully understand how the system behaves over multiple performance cycles within a short timeframe. Extending the trial period slightly would allow for a more complete evaluation, especially for teams that rely on structured and recurring workflows.

Additionally, some level of deeper customization or flexibility in how workflows are configured could be beneficial as usage grows. This becomes more noticeable when trying to adapt the platform to slightly different team structures or review approaches over time. While the current setup works well for standard use cases, additional flexibility would improve long-term adaptability.

**What problems is 15Five solving and how is that benefiting you?**

15Five helps improve how i approach performance management and employee experience by offering clear visibility into goals, feedback and engagement insights. It streamlines key processes like check-ins and feedback, making it easier to stay aligned, measure progress and create a positive work environment.

**Official Response from Caitlin Ludke:**

> Hi Tarun! Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review, we really appreciate it.

We're glad to hear the platform has felt consistent and easy to maintain over time, and that the connection between goals, feedback, and check-ins is helping keep everything aligned for your team.

We also appreciate your feedback on the trial length and flexibility. Those are important considerations, especially as teams grow and need to evaluate workflows in-depth. We'll be sure to share this with our product team as we continue to improve the platform.

Thanks again for your insights and for being a part of the 15Five community!
