The WebAIM Contrast Checker is a free, web-based tool designed to help web designers and developers ensure their content meets accessibility standards by evaluating the contrast between foreground and background colors. By inputting color values or selecting them via a color picker, users can determine if their color combinations comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG for readability and accessibility. Key Features: - Color Input Options: Users can enter hexadecimal color codes or use the color picker to select colors directly. - Contrast Ratio Calculation: The tool calculates the contrast ratio between the selected foreground and background colors. - WCAG Compliance Evaluation: It provides pass/fail results based on WCAG 2.0 and 2.1 standards for normal text, large text, and graphical objects. - Adjustable Lightness: Users can adjust the lightness of colors to explore different contrast scenarios. - Bookmarklet Availability: A bookmarklet is available for quick access, allowing users to test contrast on any webpage. Primary Value and Problem Solved: The WebAIM Contrast Checker addresses the critical need for accessible web content by enabling designers and developers to verify that their color choices provide sufficient contrast. This ensures that text and important visual elements are easily readable, particularly for users with visual impairments or color vision deficiencies. By facilitating compliance with WCAG standards, the tool helps create more inclusive digital experiences.

Cater to a limited range of users

Ive been relying on their accessibility tools but it is not good. The worst part is that theres really nothing easy to use. The website itself is poor with a poor user interface thats difficult to navigate.
