Outstanding customer service. Whenever we’ve run into an issue, the team have been incredibly quick to respond and genuinely helpful. When we first started using the software over a year ago, my boss used the online chat at around 10–11pm one evening. Within about 10 minutes, someone had called him directly to help troubleshoot the issue. That pretty much set the tone for the level of support we’ve received ever since. More recently, we’ve had some exceptionally large certificates from sites that needed transferring onto the system. One of the current certificates is over 500 pages long and covers more than 300 distribution boards. The team have taken our feedback seriously, listened to what we were asking for and worked with us to make handling certificates of that size far more practical and cost-effective. The app itself is very straightforward to use. We have someone in the office who is excellent on the admin side but doesn’t necessarily have an electrical background. She’s able to prepare certificates ready for engineers attending site, or build circuit charts from existing certificates ready for the sparks to test against. Previously — and no shade intended here — the NICEIC software was completely alien to her. Tradecert clicked almost immediately. From when we first started using Tradecert to where it is now, the AI tools in particular have come on leaps and bounds. Certificates, especially large ones, could definitely be a grind in the past. Now, they’ve genuinely become one of the most trivial parts of our workflow. Sometimes I think it takes us longer to motivate ourselves to start inputting or QS’ing a certificate than it does to actually complete it — and that’s probably just a hangover from how time-consuming the old workflow used to be. But the thing I really can’t stress enough is the customer service. It is second to none. If it wasn’t, I probably wouldn’t have bothered writing this review. The app on its own would still be a very neat and impressive bit of software, but the support behind it is where these guys consistently shine. I really can’t recommend them highly enough.

I love the AI functionality in Tradecert. I can quickly import pictures and files, including pictures of mains boards and handwritten test results, and it fills out most of the certification information for me. It works offline, is easy to use, and makes it easy to alter certificates if I need to. It is probably the easiest and quickest certification software I have used, and I can use it across my phone, tablet, and PC at the same time. The initial setup was very fast and easy, and the WhatsApp response is instant—they will even call straight away to resolve issues.

Changing from EasyCert to TradeCert has been a game changer for our company. We’re a small team of eight electricians, and it has made managing our certification much simpler and more efficient. Aside from the obvious benefit of the AI feature for populating circuit charts, one of the standout additions for us has been the smoke alarm certificate. We issue this alongside the EICR, recording the expiry dates of each alarm and including a photo of every unit. This makes it much easier for landlords to keep track of their properties and know when alarms are due for replacement. The introduction of the PAT certificate, along with its AI features, has been another big benefit. It means we can now keep all of our electrical certificates in one place rather than relying on multiple systems and subscriptions. Overall, TradeCert has streamlined our processes, saved us time, and made certificate management far easier for both our team and our customers.
