Fast, Everywhere Dictation with Powerful Custom Modes and Privacy-Friendly Offline Models
What I keep coming back to is that it works everywhere without me thinking about it. Option and space, talk, and the text lands in whatever field my cursor is already in. Slack, email, a Google Doc, a form in a browser tab. I never open the app or move anything between windows.
The custom modes are what turned it from convenient into something I rely on. I have one for clean prose that strips out the filler in how I actually talk, and a separate one that stays verbatim for when I'm capturing notes and don't want anything smoothed over. Being able to point different instructions at different kinds of writing means I can dictate a donor letter and a messy set of meeting notes with the same tool and get appropriately different output from each.
The offline models matter more to me than I expected. A lot of what I dictate is donor information and internal conversations, and knowing the audio never leaves my machine is the difference between using this for everything and using it only for things that don't matter. And it's fast enough that I stopped noticing it, which sounds like a small thing but is actually the whole point. Dictation that lags a few seconds breaks your train of thought and you drift back to typing. This doesn't.

SuperWhisper: Efficient, Accurate, and Highly Customizable
I like that SuperWhisper offers access to multiple models for text enhancements and transcription, so I can pick what works best for me in a particular situation. They also have their own models focused on speed and efficiency, which makes it easy to find a combination and set up a mode that works for me. The flexibility is really helpful, especially when responding to emails. I can give it context, and it enhances my text, making it better than I could on my own. I also appreciate its easy setup because of the sectional layout for mode settings. SuperWhisper has essentially replaced my keyboard 80% of the time both on my desktop and phone. I switched from Whisper Flow because of SuperWhisper's customization capabilities, and the experience has been excellent.

Seamless Typing Boost with Mac Integration
I use SuperWhisper because it really assists me in getting a ton of thoughts down quickly, and I love its accuracy when I'm writing. If I say the wrong thing, it scratches it out and fixes it with the correct words, which is super helpful. It also enhances my typing speed, allowing me to increase my words per minute drastically when dictating, from around 100 to easily 140 words per minute, especially when working on large written pieces. I also love how native it works with Mac, so I don't have to open a specific browser or tab. I can just hit the function key, and it works everywhere—whether on websites, apps, or anywhere on my computer. This native integration allows me to put my text directly into any text box without needing to copy and paste, saving me a lot of time. Additionally, setting up SuperWhisper was super easy.
