SmartMit is built by Apextream Technologies, a Florida-based software company founded by an IICRC WRT and ASD certified restoration contractor. We built SmartMit because we lived the problem. Running mitigation jobs meant juggling spreadsheets, a photo-report tool, a PDF editor, an e-signature app, and cloud storage, then piecing together insurance documentation by hand while trying to get paid. The tools available were either built for general contractors who don't handle claims, or priced and designed for large franchise operations. So we built the system we wanted: one platform that handles fieldwork, scheduling, documentation, insurance reports, team management, invoicing and AP, designed around how restoration companies actually work. We work closely with every company we onboard. New customers get their system configured to their workflow and their team trained before going live, with a 30-day pilot at no cost and no setup fee unless it works.
