Sendy is a great email marketing tool. Especially if you're looking for a self-hosted solution. I installed Sendy on my Cloudways VP server about three years ago and have never had any issues. Some people find setting everything up with Amazon's SES service a little intimidating, but there are plenty of videos out there that can walk you through the process.
With Amazon SES, the deliverability is excellent! Plus, I can send 10k emails for only a dollar! No one else even comes close when it comes to pricing.

Cost obviously is a major factor which gives you a perpetual license for the all the minor versions releases, which means you are covered for a pretty good time. Other considerations are ease of implementation, configuration and maintenance. Creating templates (copy-pasting HTML code), maintaining lists and campaigns is also not too difficult.
