The flat pricing is what sold me. One monthly fee, SES handles delivery at cost, and the bill doesn't budge whether we send 50k emails in a month or a few million. The other thing I didn't expect to like as much: SendOps sits beside SES instead of in the sending path. It manages the setup but never relays the mail itself, so even if SendOps had a bad day, our email would still go out through SES. Setup was almost nothing. No SDK, no code changes, the app talks to SES the same way it always did. And marketing and ops now have a dashboard of their own for editing templates, searching messages and keeping an eye on quota, so I've stopped handing out AWS keys every time someone needs to look something up.

SendOps simplifies many of the operational headaches that come with scaling email, while keeping lower costs and still maintaining visibility into email performance and reliability.
