Rooted Co-Living runs rootedcoliving.com, a national marketplace for recovery and sober-living homes, plus software for the people who run them. Case managers search homes by city for free and send a referral through a short form. If a home doesn't answer a referral within 24 hours, every approved home in that city and state gets the chance. Rooted charges no referral fees. Operators list their homes for free. A person reviews each listing before it goes live. Registry listings come from public state registries (California today). Operators who want to run the house in one place can add the software: online applications, agreements signed on the guest's phone, rent paid straight to the operator's own Stripe account, chore rotation, drug tests, check-ins, overnight passes, maintenance requests, a guest web portal, and family updates that go out only when the guest says yes. It costs $49/month flat for any number of homes, plus a one-time $99 setup. The first 25 founding operators pay $29/month flat with no setup fee, locked while subscribed. Monthly fees on a first subscription are refundable for 30 days. Rooted does not operate any home. Each operator is responsible for its own state licensing and compliance. Rooted operates under fair housing law. Founder Jay Bey's grandmother ran sober living, and he went to the classes with her. After ten years in new home sales for a builder, he opened his own house. Filling beds and keeping track was hard, so he built the systems he needed.
