PrintSent is a virtual printer for automotive dealerships that use Dealertrack DMS. It captures print jobs from Dealertrack and converts them into PDFs that keep the original form layout, logos, and branding. Staff print from Dealertrack the same way they do today. Instead of sending the job to a physical printer, PrintSent delivers the document to a shared web portal where authorized users can view, download, or email it.
A small, pre-configured network device is installed on the dealership’s Dealertrack VPN-connected network. The device emulates one or more fully compliant network printers of the type Dealertrack already supports, so Dealertrack recognizes it without workstation software or changes to existing print workflows. One device can use multiple IP addresses and appear as multiple printers, so service, parts, accounting, and other departments can each have their own printer ID. After the printer is added in Dealertrack and logos are applied with Dealertrack’s standard Send Logos process, printed forms appear as PDFs in the portal within seconds.
PrintSent accepts the form types Dealertrack can print, including repair orders, purchase orders, invoices, credit invoices, statements of account, tech hard cards, picking tickets, receipts, customer hard cards, warranty documents, and related forms. Documents can stay in the shared portal or be auto-routed by document type to specified recipients or a department inbox. A Statement Sender function is available for batch emailing statements of account. When a paper copy is needed, users print the PDF from the portal or from email to any nearby printer.
PrintSent does not install software on workstations and does not require staff to learn a new print process. Setup is connecting the device with ethernet and power, adding printer IPs in the PrintSent account, creating the printer in Dealertrack, and running Send Logos. Documents are delivered as encrypted PDFs. PrintSent is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or certified by Dealertrack.
