A software with multiple uses, but less user friendly

OpenFOAM has a lot of uses. Literally, anything can be done via OpenFOAM. Every variable in a flow system can be manipulated resulting in results as precise to the real cases as possible.

What is OpenFOAM Project?

OpenFOAM (Open Field Operation and Manipulation) is a free, open source computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software package, primarily designed for the modeling and simulation of fluid flow, chemical reactions, heat transfer, and associated processes. It is widely used across industries including automotive, aerospace, and process engineering. OpenFOAM offers a vast library of solvers and utilities for pre-processing, mesh generation, and data analysis, making it highly adaptable for complex simulations. The software operates on Linux and is developed and maintained by the OpenFOAM Foundation, which ensures it remains open source and freely available.
