The Penetration Testing with Kali Linux (PWK/PEN-200) online ethical hacking course is self-paced. It introduces penetration testing tools and techniques via hands-on experience. PEN-200 trains not only the skills, but also the mindset required to be a successful penetration tester. Students who complete the course and pass the exam earn the Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification. This course features five recently retired OSCP exam machines now added to the PWK labs. These five machines represent an entire OSCP exam room.

Perfect for Learning Cybersecurity

I like that with Kali Linux, I don't need to install tools one by one because most are already installed. It saves my valuable time since I can just install Kali Linux and start using the tools. Everything I need for learning cybersecurity is already there, and all the tools work well without any problems. It's also very fast compared to other operating systems.

Cybersecurity Powerhouse with Pre-Configured Tools

I really like Kali Linux for its ease of use when it comes to shell scripting. It's easy to access folders and run scripts across different devices from a centralized computer. What stands out to me is that Kali Linux is purpose-built for cybersecurity and includes a huge collection of pre-configured tools that are ready to use. Its rolling Debian-based system ensures it stays up-to-date while remaining stable. I also appreciate that it runs on many platforms, like PCs, ARM, and VMs. Some specific tools I find beneficial are Nmap, which helps in mapping open ports, checking connectivity, live hosts, and running services, and also identifying operating systems. Whatweb is great for detecting frameworks, server types, plugins, and CMS. The initial setup was also very easy for me.
