Makatea is a recurring-collections platform for small and mid-sized businesses in Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador and Peru. It sends payment reminders by WhatsApp and email on a schedule the user configures, follows up automatically when a payment is late or goes unanswered, and updates each account's status in real time. Users import their portfolio from Excel, CSV, or their ERP; Makatea then ranks accounts by risk and days overdue, suggests which channel and time to use, and sends a weekly summary by email. It is used by lenders, cooperatives, pawnshops, schools, gyms, condominiums, clinics and subscription businesses. There is no implementation project: it is operative the same day the portfolio is imported. In controlled use, an on-time reminder raises on-time payment by about 8% and cuts average delay by roughly 2 days.
