Zen Reports is a free analytics dashboard for measuring referral traffic from AI engines. It connects to a Google Analytics 4 property using read-only OAuth (analytics.readonly scope) and unifies sessions from ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, Perplexity, and Microsoft Copilot into a single view. The product automatically resolves fragmented GA4 source/medium combinations (for example, chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com, and openai.com all map to ChatGPT) into one engine-level number, removing the need for regex filters or custom channel groups. Core features include Engine Mix (sessions and share per engine), Citation Map (top pages cited by AI), Momentum (week-over-week and month-over-month trends per engine), GEO Footprint (country and device breakdowns), Source Resolution (automatic domain-variant mapping that updates when engines launch new domains), and multi-property switching across any GA4 properties under the signed-in Google account. Zen Reports relies on GA4's bot filtering (IAB Spiders & Bots List plus Google's proprietary detection) and tracks real human visitors only not AI crawlers such as GPTBot or ClaudeBot.
