LanePilot is the LTL freight TMS for small and mid-size shippers: manufacturers, distributors and wholesalers who run freight without a dedicated freight team or an enterprise software budget. It covers both directions of the dock, outbound and inbound, in one system. Outbound, it runs the whole job. Compare live rates across your own connected carrier accounts on your negotiated pricing, book the shipment, generate the Bill of Lading, schedule the pickup, and track it through to delivery. Contracts, lanes, carrier scorecards and claims all live in the same place, so nothing gets re-keyed between carrier portals and spreadsheets. Then it audits the bill. Every carrier invoice is checked automatically against the original quote and your contracted rates, flagging reweighs, reclassifications, unauthorized accessorials and fuel or rate mismatches. When LanePilot finds a discrepancy it drafts a ready-to-file dispute letter with the supporting detail already assembled. You file it with the carrier yourself and keep everything you recover. LanePilot is software, not a freight broker, and never contacts, negotiates with, or files anything with a carrier on your behalf. Inbound, LanePilot includes a full warehouse management system. Design your warehouse layout in a simple 2D editor, then switch to an interactive 3D view you can rotate and explore, with zones, rack rows, mezzanine offices and individual shelf positions all rendered in three dimensions. Every rack and shelf gets a digital bin location, and a built-in search lights up the exact spot any item is sitting in. The Receiving add-on delivers that alongside the rest of the dock. Receive inbound freight against your purchase orders, run the dock queue, and put stock away by bin. It detects overages, shortages and damages, puts a dollar value on each discrepancy, and generates a vendor chargeback letter ready for you to send. It also adds PO-to-invoice reconciliation, vendor scorecards and routing compliance, arrival and late alerts, receiving analytics and inbound KPIs, bulk CSV imports for purchase orders, SKUs and inventory, and analytics on inventory movement and vendor lead times. The result is one system for freight in both directions, where money lost to billing errors on the way out and to short or damaged receipts on the way in both get caught and documented for you to claim.
