Kayment is invoicing and payment software for small businesses in Ireland and Europe, built around the two things that actually cost a small business money: getting paid late, and getting VAT wrong.
**The invoice is the payment page.** You raise an invoice and your customer opens it from a link — no account to create, nothing to install. It carries your name, your logo and your colours, with the VAT broken out per rate. They pay on that page: card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or the bank rails that suit the currency. Euro invoices offer SEPA Direct Debit, iDEAL, Bancontact and more; sterling offers open banking and Bacs; dollar offers ACH.
**The money goes to your own Stripe account.** Kayment never holds your balance.
**Deposits are one invoice, not two.** Ask for a deposit and the invoice states the balance underneath it. When the deposit clears, that same invoice becomes the request for the balance, with a pay button on it.
**Irish VAT is handled properly.** 23%, 13.5%, 9% and zero-rated, with your VAT3 T1 figure at the end of each period — per rate, per currency, on either the invoice basis or the cash receipts basis. Reverse charge is handled for EU B2B services and for construction supplies to a principal contractor, with the wording the document has to carry.
**Xero sync books the VAT you actually charged.** Every line carries a TaxType resolved from your own organisation's rates. If a rate does not exist in your Xero organisation the sync refuses and names it, rather than booking whatever the sales account defaults to.
**Late payments are chased without you doing it.** Reminder rules run on a schedule you set, failed cards are retried, and credit notes land in the right VAT period.
Also: recurring billing, a virtual terminal for phone payments, a public API, invoicing in EUR, GBP and USD, and team seats.
