The SQL editor offers schema-aware IntelliSense, signature help, and a command palette with object search. The results grid handles large datasets with streaming, filtering, cell expansion, JSON and XML viewers, and one-click export to CSV, JSON, Excel, and Markdown. Built-in charting turns query results into bar, line, pie, area, and scatter charts. Productivity features include schema compare and data compare with ALTER/CREATE/DROP sync scripts, execution plan visualization, a full object explorer, a table designer, saved sessions and snippets, and query history. DBA tooling covers a session browser, tablespace and filegroup managers, a performance dashboard, backup and restore, and security management. Jam SQL Studio is AI-native. A built-in chat panel reuses your existing Claude Code or Codex CLI subscription, so AI assistance costs nothing extra beyond the subscription you already pay for. A local MCP (Model Context Protocol) server also lets external AI coding assistants like Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex CLI, and GitHub Copilot safely query your databases under user-controlled policies, with token authentication and read-only defaults.
