I like that the free extension detects and masks sensitive data before the text reaches the assistant, and then restores it. The bidirectional masking does not erase the context: the response returns with the real data in place. This takes a decision off my hands every time I paste something and speeds up the process without having to review everything in detail. Also, setting up InCountry was very easy.

It’s easy to use to create and manage a custom data schema through the dashboard. I tested its REST API using Postman and was able to successfully store and retrieve sample CRM records. On the dashboard, the existing features are quite helpful for tracking API activity and authentication. After the initial configuration, the basic data operations worked as expected.

One of my favorite things about InCountry is the way it tackles data residency. In cloud architecture, it can be challenging when certain applications and their data must stay within a specific country. That’s why I appreciate that sensitive data can be stored in local Data Vaults while the application continues to run with its original architecture. I’m also interested in learning more about the Data Firewall, the ability to tokenize data, and the policy controls for accessing that data. Having a REST API and a Web Services Proxy should be beneficial as well.
