Hoursmith connects client projects, tasks, tracked time, expenses and invoices for freelancers, small web/design/development studios and service agencies. Review the work behind a bill, then create and send the invoice from the same workspace.
WORK AND TIME
Organize tasks in Kanban or list views with assignees, dates, priorities, checklists, comments and attachments. Track time with a timer or manual entries linked to projects and tasks. Project-scoped access and a money-blind Member role let collaborators work without seeing client billing rates.
INVOICING
Build drafts from eligible hourly work, fixed-project fees, billable expenses and custom lines. Review totals, send a PDF or shareable invoice link, track views and record partial/offline payments. Studio and Agency add Stripe Connect online payments into your own Stripe account, overdue reminders, client/project dashboards, reports and CSV/PDF exports. Send invoices through your own SMTP server, Amazon SES or Resend on paid plans. Processing and external email-provider fees are separate.
RECURRING BILLING
Schedule repeatable fees, unbilled time and expenses, or a combination. Create drafts for review or use guarded auto-send. Auto-send emails invoices and payment links; it does not automatically charge clients.
TEAM COSTS
Agency adds private Payouts, internal bills, team profitability, advanced reporting, audit logs and outbound webhooks. Owners and Admins can set private pay rates, review work into bills and record payments made elsewhere. Hoursmith records settlements; it does not transfer money or run payroll.

Free: up to 3 members, unlimited clients/projects, task/time tracking, expenses and 5 invoices/month.
Studio: $5/workspace/month or $49/year billed annually; up to 10 members and unlimited invoices, plus the paid billing/reporting features above.
Agency: $9.99/quantity/month or $99.99/quantity/year billed annually; 25 seats per quantity, Studio features and the Agency features above, priority support routing and guided onboarding. Additional paid quantities add 25 seats each.
Each workspace bills independently. Prices exclude applicable taxes and discounts. The owner counts as a member; valid pending invitations reserve seats. One shared 14-day paid-plan trial per workspace requires no card. Switching plans does not restart it; continued paid access requires choosing a subscription.
PLATFORM
Web app and installable PWA, with a Chrome companion. Paymo and CSV/Excel imports help migration. Paid plans include Telegram notifications, REST API and MCP. Documentation and in-app chat support are available.
Not full accounting, payroll, CRM or resource planning. No Gantt charts, task dependencies, formal timesheet approvals or native desktop/mobile apps.
