What I like most about Guideless is that I can document a workflow while I’m actually doing it instead of finishing the task and then recreating everything afterward. I use the Chrome extension, start the capture, go through the workflow normally, and Guideless turns the process into individual steps automatically. That removes a lot of repetitive work like taking screenshots, remembering every click, and writing each instruction from scratch. The generated steps are editable, so I can clean up the wording, remove unnecessary steps, reorder things, and make the guide easier to follow before sharing it. I also like how the AI is used. It generates the instructions and narration from the workflow, but I still have control over the final output instead of being stuck with whatever the AI creates. The UI is clean and easy to understand. Onboarding was simple too. I was able to install the extension and start creating without having to read through a bunch of documentation first. Support has also been a good experience. The people behind Guideless actively connect with users and are actually available if you need help or have feedback. It feels much more direct than submitting a ticket and waiting without knowing who is on the other side. Performance has been smooth for me as well. The extension runs while I go through the workflow and hasn't felt heavy or interrupted what I'm doing. The capture → generated steps → editing flow is quick, which is important because adding another slow tool would defeat the purpose of trying to save time on documentation. I also like that the finished guide isn't locked inside Guideless. You can share it with a link, embed it, export it as MP4, PDF or Markdown, and use it with tools like Notion, Slack and Confluence. That makes it practical for documentation that needs to live where the rest of the team already works. The pricing also makes sense to me for what it does. There is a free plan to actually try the product and create a few guides before paying. Pro is $39/month, or $29/month per user when billed annually, and gives you unlimited guides and AI voiceovers along with things like MP4 export and removing the watermark. The ROI is pretty straightforward for me: it reduces the amount of manual work needed to create documentation. Normally I would complete a workflow, then basically do it a second time to document it: take screenshots, write the steps, format everything, and potentially record a separate walkthrough. With Guideless, one capture gives me the starting point for all of that. That's probably the biggest thing I like about it. Documentation feels like something that gets created while I'm doing the work rather than another task I have to come back to later.

The recording is really easy. There is basically no preparation needed. You don't need to practice beforehand because it is not a 1:1 screen capture and even allows for corrections later. The generated voice is very good. The UX to edit the recording is simple and intuitive.
