FilePilot FTP Client - Desktop

0 reviews

FilePilot is a free, open-source desktop client for fast and secure file transfers over SFTP, FTP, FTPS, SCP, S3, WebDAV, and major cloud storage providers. Built on Tauri with a Rust-powered engine, it offers a dual-pane browser, resumable multi-threaded transfers, folder sync with conflict resolution, JavaScript macro automation, and on-device AES-256 encrypted credentials with zero telemetry. FilePilot is a free, open-source desktop application for moving files to and from any server — a single tool that replaces your FTP client, S3 browser, and cloud drive apps. It connects over FTP, SFTP, FTPS, SCP, Amazon S3 (plus MinIO/Ceph), WebDAV, and cloud storage like Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, and Azure Blob Storage, including support for SSH jump hosts and SOCKS5/HTTP proxies. The dual-pane file browser puts your local machine and remote server side by side, with drag-and-drop transfers, folder comparison, synchronized browsing, and built-in directory analysis and search. Beyond simple transfers, FilePilot lets you edit remote files directly, diff file versions, batch rename with regex, manage Unix permissions visually, and compress/extract archives server-side over SSH — without downloading anything locally. Its Rust-powered transfer engine (built on Tauri, not Electron) delivers multi-threaded, resumable transfers with real-time progress, checksum validation, bandwidth scheduling, and webhook alerts to Slack, Discord, or Teams. A backup scheduler and two-way folder sync with conflict resolution keep directories in step, and an offline queue holds pending transfers safely if your connection drops. Security is local-first: all credentials are encrypted on-device with AES-256-GCM behind a master password (600,000 rounds of PBKDF2), and FilePilot never transmits or has visibility into your passwords. Teams can optionally layer on the Enterprise Vault for centralized credential provisioning, IP allowlisting, and audit logging. Power users get a built-in JavaScript macro editor for automating repetitive tasks, an extensible plugin SDK for custom protocols and panels, a command palette (Ctrl+K), multi-tab workflows, and a migration wizard to import existing sites from FileZilla or WinSCP. FilePilot runs natively on Windows 10+, macOS Big Sur+, and major Linux distributions. It's 100% free and open source under the MIT License — no premium tiers, no accounts, no telemetry.

FilePilot Shell

0 reviews

FilePilot Shell is a premium multi-tab terminal emulator built on Tauri and Rust, designed for developers and sysadmins who manage local shells and remote SSH sessions. It combines a lightning-fast, low-footprint interface with zero-knowledge encryption, multi-pane sync, and AI-assisted command suggestions. FilePilot Shell is a modern, lightning-fast terminal emulator built on Tauri and Rust, designed for developers, sysadmins, and power users who work across local shells and remote SSH connections. It offers multi-tab layouts with pane splits and a Unified Sync Manager for broadcasting commands across grouped panes in real time — ideal for managing multiple servers at once. Security is handled with zero-knowledge, AES-256-GCM client-side encryption for stored SSH keys and profiles, with optional integration into an enterprise vault (HashiCorp Vault compatible) for centralized credential management. Built-in PTY session recording lets teams capture, replay, and audit terminal activity, while startup macros (JavaScript or Shell) automate environment setup on connection. An integrated AI shell copilot provides context-aware auto-completion, error correction for failed commands, and natural-language-to-CLI generation. FilePilot Shell supports native shells on Windows (PowerShell, CMD, WSL), macOS, and Linux (zsh, bash, fish), plus serial/COM connections for hardware work — all running on a lightweight (<45MB idle) Rust backend with a WebGL/Canvas renderer for fast text rendering, Nerd Font ligature support, and configurable SSH options like agent forwarding, proxy routing, and keepalive tuning.

FilePilot Enterprise Vault

0 reviews

Team credential vault for secure server access — no shared passwords, full audit trail. FilePilot Enterprise Vault is a free, open-source, self-hosted credential server that lets teams share access to FTP, SFTP, FTPS, SCP, S3, and WebDAV servers without ever passing around raw passwords or keys. Instead of emailing credentials, admins provision connection profiles once and issue each teammate a scoped, revocable access token. Every credential is protected with two-tier AES-256-GCM envelope encryption, organized into isolated Vault Groups — each with its own encryption key, IP allowlist, and choice of KMS provider (AWS, Azure, GCP, or HashiCorp Vault). Role-based access control (Admin, Manager, Operator, Auditor) with 20+ granular permissions ensures people only touch what they're supposed to, enforced server-side on every API call. Built for compliance-sensitive teams, the Vault keeps a tamper-evident, hash-chained audit log of every action, streams events to your SIEM via HMAC-signed webhooks, and supports legal/preservation holds to freeze data for regulatory review. A built-in compliance dashboard summarizes encryption, access, audit, and session posture in one view — ready for SOC 2 or HIPAA audits. Setup takes minutes via a browser-based wizard, with support for SQLite, PostgreSQL, or MySQL. Real-time WebSocket sync means token revocations, file reverts, and hold status changes take effect instantly across connected clients. Deploy it anywhere — Docker, on-prem, or your own cloud — with no per-seat cost, no telemetry, and full MIT-licensed source. Best for: Engineering, DevOps, and IT teams who need centralized, auditable, role-based access to shared infrastructure credentials without relying on password managers or spreadsheets. Key features: Central credential vault with encrypted, per-group storage Role-based access control with 20+ fine-grained permissions Scoped, revocable, expiring access tokens Tamper-evident hash-chain audit logging + SIEM webhook integration Legal hold / write-freeze for compliance investigations File version history with one-click remote revert Multi-KMS support (AWS, Azure, GCP, HashiCorp Vault) Self-hosted, MIT licensed, zero telemetry

GitHub Keeps Our Code History Clear and Collaboration Seamless

I mainly use GitHub for storing code, tracking changes, working on projects, and collaborating on development work. What I like most is that the project history stays visible instead of getting lost as the code keeps changing. I regularly use Repositories, Issues, Pull Requests, Branches, Actions, and GitHub Discussions, with Pull Requests being especially useful when I want to review changes before they become part of the main codebase. I also like being able to look back at previous commits when something that worked earlier suddenly stops behaving the same way.
