I love the user interface of Gather. It's playful, you can customise the whole office space and your own desk, making it look "like you". This level of personalisation is a really nice touch, but I work in a remote-first organisation and what I like the most about Gather is that it makes me feel like I'm not alone when I'm working. I can see who else is working, I can drop by their desk for a question or just to say hi. This is what makes the biggest difference for me.
One of the things I like about Gather is its easy entry gateway; it reminds me of the online video game Habbo Hotel, and I find the aesthetic appealing. I enjoy being able to meet and talk to people while also having the option to share my screen, which makes it easy to showcase what I'm trying to solve. I love that you can play leisure activities, like listening to the same music with a coworker, have chats, and share links or relevant information. The app works really well for sharing screens and artifacts to communicate with others.
Gather brings the best of in-person collaboration to distributed teams. Our virtual offices help break down the barriers of remote work, making it easy to share ideas and solve problems naturally in the moment.
