Fixray has been incredible – it has genuinely revolutionised the way we manage maintenance at Meridian Grand and across Meridian Hotels Group. Before Fixray, we relied on a WhatsApp group. Important issues could easily get buried in conversations, forgotten about, or not reach the right person. Now, every maintenance issue is logged, tracked and documented in one place, giving us complete visibility and accountability. As a venue that operates 24/7, one of the biggest advantages is that staff can report issues at any time without disturbing colleagues who are off shift. The next person on duty can simply pick up where the previous shift left off. Even better, our whole team can use the app on their own phones, so there’s no need to issue work mobiles. Reporting issues couldn’t be easier. You simply take a photo and upload it. The AI is genuinely impressive – it often identifies the problem, writes a description for you and even categorises it into areas such as electrical, plumbing or carpentry. You can also pinpoint the exact location, so our maintenance team knows precisely where to go. We also use it for recurring maintenance tasks, such as weekly fire alarm testing, ensuring nothing gets missed. The platform is surprisingly fun to use as well. The leaderboard encourages staff to report issues, but more importantly, it gives me a clear overview of outstanding jobs, helping ensure nothing is left unresolved for too long. The reporting tools are excellent too, allowing us to track labour and material costs across different time periods, locations and categories. I can also see which maintenance team members have completed the most jobs. As the owner of multiple sites, being able to switch between properties and instantly see maintenance activity, outstanding issues and costs from one dashboard is invaluable. It gives me confidence that everything is being managed consistently, wherever I am. I genuinely wish we’d found Fixray sooner. It’s one of those rare apps that has transformed a key part of our business, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to any business looking to improve the way they manage maintenance.
