Good for people who think in pictures; extensive feature set rewards experimentation and creativity.

|Mindomo
There are lots of layouts and themes available to me; I never feel restricted by just one type of diagram. I have complete control over the final appearance of my mind map thanks to the labels, summary node feature, multiple connection types (including a new zigzag format as well as a single angle), and the option to establish a custom size for my topics. There are many possibilities for incorporating notes into my mind map, including: code blocks; equations; images that can be dropped directly onto my mind map; quotes; etc (this is not typical of mind mapping software). Hyperlinks at the topic level, the ability to create multiple hyperlinks for one topic, and a few other features are also very useful.

Intuitive Gantt Charts with One-Click Mind Maps and Real-Time Team Collaboration

The main reason for selecting this software system was the use of the GANTT chart functionality. All the task types including tasks, subtasks and dependencies and the use of milestone/priority/progress bar features are intuitive to a project manager because they all work as I would expect in a dedicated project management tool, and I can then convert my Gantt Chart into a mind map or outline with one click and assign tasks to my team members, and receive email notifications of when those assigned tasks have been completed and/or overdue, and collaborate in real-time with team members on the Gantt chart.

Mindomo Turns Brainstorms into Outlines and Gantt Charts Seamlessly

The first thing that struck me about Mindomo was that it isn’t just a project planner. I can pull one idea out as a project map, and create an outline and a Gantt chart from it without losing any of my ideas! This has been a big advantage to our team who use project mapping as part of our brainstorming process, and switching over to outlines while we write. The collaboration is very smooth and the in-app chat function allows us to quickly communicate with each other without using Slack for every small conversation.
