What I like most about CrowdHandler is the control it gives us during high-demand registrations. We organize large trading card game events, and when registration opens we can have a very large number of players trying to enter at the same time. CrowdHandler allows us to place users in a virtual waiting room instead of letting everyone hit our registration system at once. Being able to control how quickly users are released from the queue has been especially valuable because it helps us protect our website and registration flow during traffic spikes. We also regularly use the waiting room messaging to communicate important information to players while they are in line, such as registration instructions, availability, and what to expect when registration opens. This has helped us provide a much more organized experience compared with simply having hundreds or thousands of users refreshing the website at the same time. Another important benefit is the visibility CrowdHandler gives us during registration. Being able to monitor the queue and understand how many users are waiting or being admitted makes it much easier for our team to manage a live registration event and react if something unexpected happens.
