We are a General Contractor of buildings, located in eastern North Carolina and licensed in 17 states. We are a firm believer that having the right software not only streamlines operations and management, but is a key to successfully having an advantage over the competition. Everything a company can do automatically, quickly, and most importantly, accurately is worth its weight in gold. eCMS is a fully integrated, secure, cloud based ERP system that was easily customizable to meet the individual needs of our business. With the exception of our estimating department that uses Sage Estimating and OnScreen Takeoff for estimating; our entire company uses Computer Guidance Corporation's (CGC) eCMS and its suite of applications and tools for all of our accounting and operational processes. For any construction company, it all starts with the job estimate and the awarded projects have to become part of the company's ERP system. So to help expedite getting the details of an estimate into our accounting and project management system, CGC truly 'bridged the gap' by offering a product that imports Sage estimates into eCMS and generates a full job cost budget within a few minutes. What used to take someone from accounting hours and depending on priority, it sometime took several days to enter a job cost budget, these newly created job cost budgets are now immediately accessible to the entire team. This not only saves time and allows the aceleration of buy out - it saves money. Users that don't have to spend time keying data from an estimate are free to move forward and focus on more critical tasks. In addition to the 'technological bridge' CGC provided for us for the start of a project; we absolutely love how eCMS has made managing credit card expenses easier. Cardholders are able to take a picture of their receipts immediately after a purchase using the 'Receipt Capture' option in the Expense Track mobile APP. The cardholder browse the APP for 'our company specific' general ledger accounts or job cost codes. Once they select the code, enter a brief description of the purchase, and the amount; they select the 'submit' button. And that's it! They're done. They don't have to look at or deal with that transaction anymore. It's ready to be imported into our eCMS AP Processing area for editing and then updating directly into the appropriate accounts in the database. Because of this enhanced technological 'bridge' into eCMS, we're able to eliminate the painful task of cardholders having to keep up with and later match receipts to expenses. We also have eliminated the need for the accounting team to have to organize, match, and enter hundreds of lines of data for credit card expenses each month. Because Computer Guidance had the vision to not only produce a solid, cutting edge construction accounting software; but they anticipated and prepared to partner with various third party vendor to 'bridge the gap' in this way. They have and continue to help us to also be a leader in the industry.

We have had this software for over 20 years. The customer support has remained strong. CGC modules we like best are Accounts Payable, Document Imaging and Workflow routing, IBM software maintenance program, General Ledger, Data Inquiry

The module interconnectivity and amount of detail maintained in each application, along with the ability to report on this data to run our business and make smart decisions.
