Alaya is easy to get involved with and does not require huge amounts of your time in order to do some real good in the world (you can spend much more time as you wish per cause). The causes are varied and topical (for example, Sustainability September, or Pride-focused causes in Pride month), and cover the big and important worldwide needs and crises as well - I have donated to Afghanistan and to Gaza medical aid, for example, and I love doing our Christmas gift-giving to local kids in care, every year. You can see the impact your organization as a whole is having as well as yourself individually, which is really inspiring and encouraging. It's very easy to get involved and to find new challenges / cause options, and overall I feel I am enabled and empowered to make a (little but real) difference in the world. I am glad my company joined up with Alaya to give us this channel.
