August is a UK-based property management app built specifically for small landlords who want a simple, compliant way to manage their rental properties. The platform focuses on compliance obligations, offering automated reminders for key requirements like Gas Safety Certificates, EICRs, EPCs and tenancy documents. A standout feature is its integrated August Intelligence which allows users to upload a tenancy document and the app then populates the property and tenancy automatically. It also provides contextually aware responses to questions the landlord has on their properties or tenancies – like “what was may void period on the property on Hawthorn Road”. The interface is clean, mobile-native and easy to navigate, making it ideal for landlords with one to ten properties. Their tenants can use the app too. While August doesn’t offer accounting yet their website does indicate this is coming. Landlords can upload and share documents with tenants, get suggested reminders to track deadlines, track rent and take payments in the app without commission.
