August is a UK-based property management app built specifically for small landlords who want a simple, compliant way to manage their rental properties. The platform focuses on compliance obligations, offering automated reminders for key requirements like Gas Safety Certificates, EICRs, EPCs and tenancy documents. A standout feature is its integrated August Intelligence which allows users to upload a tenancy document and the app then populates the property and tenancy automatically. It also provides contextually aware responses to questions the landlord has on their properties or tenancies – like “what was may void period on the property on Hawthorn Road”. The interface is clean, mobile-native and easy to navigate, making it ideal for landlords with one to ten properties. Their tenants can use the app too. While August doesn’t offer accounting yet their website does indicate this is coming. Landlords can upload and share documents with tenants, get suggested reminders to track deadlines, track rent and take payments in the app without commission. Simple, but solves a lot of real problems for managing properties.

Everything’s in one place. I no longer have to dig through emails and folders to find certificates or tenancy documents. It saves me time. I only have a few properties, so I don’t want software that’s overly complicated. The app feels like it was designed for small landlords rather than large letting agencies, which suits me perfectly.

Effortless Property Management for Small Landlords

I love how easy to use August is. It's super straightforward for a nontechnical landlord like me. The design is simple, and nothing comes close to how easy it is compared to the other apps I've used. I really appreciate getting notifications on my phone when I get paid. That's the kind of utility and ease of use I'm looking for. I can't believe how easy it was to set up. Literally, within a minute, I was able to get started by just uploading my tenancy contract, and the app automatically scanned it and added my properties and tenancy for me, even inviting my tenants. I feel really confident using August because it makes me feel supported and that my properties are all managed well. The app is great, really simple and easy to use, helping me be a better landlord and relieving my anxiety about compliance issues.

Great app, welll designed, easy to use

I really like how simple August is to use. It’s clearly built for small landlords rather than bigger landlords, which makes it much more relevant to me. For example the features a simple to understand. The compliance tracker is especially useful, it guides me through things like gas and electrical safety, licensing, and important tasks - so of which I must confess, I didn't know about as it's hard to get a clear picture anywhere about what you need to do. Having everything in one place saves me time, plus because of that I get suggested reminders from the app about the documents that I have stored their. The app is clean, easy to navigate, and the support team is actually helpful whenever I have raised a question.

August (Augur Technologies Limited) is an award-winning property management platform built specifically for residential landlords in the UK. It exists because most landlord software either assumes you are an expert or treats tax and compliance as an afterthought, leaving landlords to reconcile rent in a spreadsheet and hope they have the right certificates on file. August is for accidental landlords, BTL landlords, HMO landlords, portfolio landlords, overseas landlords, tenants, property managers and small estate agencies. Rent tracking runs on open banking. You connect the account your rent is paid into and August matches incoming payments against your tenancies automatically, including historic transactions, so arrears and payment history are visible without manual reconciliation.
