It is a simple and powerful tool

it makes your pc act like a server for a website for free. it is great for developing websites and if you need to edit your website because it is offline. It is now on windows and I feel is more friendlier than XAMP.

Great for local Wordpress development, or any kind of "LAMP" stack applications

It makes it very easy to develop WP sites locally then deploy them to a remote server which has always been one of the biggest headaches for Wordpress developers. You can also run any version of PHP, MySQL with a simple click of a button–restart the web servers and go!
