You can trust them, and trust that batteries will eventually die

|Smart UPS
The internal components are solid. The power conditioning has always been dependable. Over the long run, battery replacements are very cost effective. We've typically gone about 10 years per UPS, with battery swaps every few years, and never had any issues. They would probably run even longer, but we haven't been brave enough to try.
