Secure Access Control with Fast HTML Hosting

What stands out for me about Host‑Vault at Horizon Pixel Games is its fine‑grained access control combined with straightforward secure HTML hosting capability. Before we started using this tool, we relied entirely on Dropbox share links to send interactive level mock‑ups and creative briefs to our outside contractors. We ran into a bad situation while building our puzzle‑genre prototype last year. Our contracted freelance environment artist got hold of a broadly shared Dropbox link holding confidential level layout HTML files. That contractor almost forwarded that link to another contact in the gaming industry by mistake. If that had gone through, our unannounced level design would have leaked out ahead of schedule, which could have hurt our marketing timeline for the whole project. That close call really showed me how dangerous open share links can be for a small indie studio like ours. I appreciate that I can assign page access exclusively to named individuals, which minimizes the risk of accidental leaks of unannounced game features. Host‑Vault also centralizes our HTML content hosting and maintains clear access logs for every hosted page, allowing me to verify whether external contractors or internal team members have viewed the latest published materials. Beyond access permissions, I find Host‑Vault’s streamlined content upload workflow and its support for externally‑generated HTML artifacts particularly well‑suited for our operations. It accepts HTML exports from various external generation tools without requiring platform‑specific formatting adjustments, which eliminates the extra development overhead that would be required to deploy temporary web pages on our main studio web infrastructure. Hosting resources remain isolated from our public‑facing website, preventing unfinished game concepts and previews from leaking to general audiences. For our small team without dedicated web engineers, these features keep our confidential creative review cycles safe and move much faster.

Effortless Credential Management with Host-Vault

I like Host-Vault for its ability to access API keys, which makes my job easier by helping with storage. The initial setup was pretty easy as I just followed a guide. My level of expertise is moderate, and it facilitates my work.
