Achilles builds AI recruiting software for frontline employers in manufacturing, hospitality, logistics, skilled trades, construction, energy, food processing, and transportation. The company was founded in 2024 and is based in New York City. The platform is an automated recruiting layer that runs continuously rather than only when someone posts a job. Sam, the AI recruiter, sources candidates, engages every applicant by phone and text, re-engages people already in the database, and keeps the funnel moving without a recruiter having to initiate each step. When someone applies through the employer's ATS, or calls or texts a recruiting line directly, Sam runs a role-specific prescreen, conducts a structured phone interview for candidates who qualify, and returns a scored summary with a recommendation. Scheduling, reminders, and candidate questions are handled end to end. Achilles is designed around constraints specific to frontline hiring: candidates who apply outside business hours, who may not have reliable internet access, who often speak Spanish or another language, and who tend to drop off when a response takes days. Call and text apply, automatic translation, and interview availability outside 8 to 5 all exist for that reason. Achilles integrates with the employer's ATS and writes back notes, dispositions, and stage changes. Teams can work in Achilles, in their ATS, or in both. It also runs standalone for employers without an ATS, handling the full process from application through scheduled interview.
