"Managed WordPress Hosting with Amazing Support and Performance!"
What do you like best about WP Engine?
WP Engine is my go-to choice for my client's WordPress hosting. Not only is their performance second-to-none, but their support is top-notch and incredibly responsive. They're constantly working on new technologies to push WordPress beyond its' perceived limits, such as HHVM (Mercury), GeoIP and WPE Search (powered by Elasticsearch), giving me the ability to provide my clients with the best in technology and best-in-class support when it's needed. Plans scale nicely with traffic, and we've survived some pretty big traffic spikes without downtime. Built-in caching, automatic backups, an integrated staging platform, CDN support and Git Push are just the icing on the cake.
What do you dislike about WP Engine?
There really isn't anything that I dislike! If I had to pick one thing, I guess it would be the pageview based pricing, though I know that isn't going to affect most of my customers.
Recommendations to others considering WP Engine:
Talk to the sales team before deciding on a plan. They really know their stuff, and they'll point you in the right direction!
Utilize a modern deployment workflow by integrating version control with Git into your process. WP Engine supports Git Push, so committing new code ties right into deployment to your staging and live environments. It will make your life so much easier, especially on multiple contributor teams!

The price is more expensive than the average host, however for the support, and extra that you get for this price it is more than worth it. You will need an specialist to set up your migration so that it runs correctly.

"Managed WordPress hosting, on budget, with excellence"
What do you like best about WP Engine?
The WordPress management panel helps supplement WordPress' admin settings itself, making it straight-forward and intuitive to manage the entire server, not just the installed application itself. Live chat with technical support throughout the day helps to streamline more complicated tasks like the installation of SSL certificates.
What do you dislike about WP Engine?
While you can use the WordPress admin to automatically update the application, there aren't very many bindings back into the app from the WPEngine dashboard. Every time a plugin or theme is updated, the system prompts you to back things up first (which is a good idea), when the system can-and should-be able to back things up for you automatically.
Recommendations to others considering WP Engine:
Evaluate the other managed WordPress hosts on the market before making your decision - changing hosts isn't the easiest process in the world and you want to be _sure_ before you make the decision.
