Some artificial points are obtainable- e.g. posting articles, no matter the content. Feels like point limits are arbitrary. Clearning notifications can also be challenging, there is no distinction between a new comment or a like on a post that you then have to seek out to clear the notification. Ease of use - it is super clear what to do and where to find the information you need. I was a speaker at a recent event and when logging in it opened right to the Speaker Hub which had my session front and center and I could see how many people registered for the session, and click through to see who they were.

It housed all the pertinent event information clearly.

Being able to create my own agenda; the ability to scan attendees' QR code to collect contact details, section for note taking, detailed agenda with topic overview, room info that links to a map. I disliked that whenever I went into specific about an agenda item, it would take me back to the full agena instead of my agenda (if I have that right). I really wish there was a way to bookmark meet ups instead of just adding them to my agenda to track/RSVP and really wish there was a searchabale way to find meet up I saw previously. I spent a lot of time scrolling to find meet ups I remembered I was interested in. Also, would like a way to disable notifications for select meet ups. If I made one comment, I kept getting notifications on meet ups I simply said hi in versus those I really wanted to track. It became overwhelming at times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Everything in available in 1 place, you can (as a participant) add as many polls, photos, information as you like, you get already a fun factor on this app even before the event got started. Every communication from the organizer gets into the app (if there is a new message, it is indicated) and we also got notifications from the app into our mailbox, so we did'nt miss any information. Some of the gamification aspect could be better when knowing how to earn points or posting topics. It can be a little bothersome with multiple layers to fill out to get an item, poll or question posted. Also would like to see ability to connect polls for sessions that could be displayed. What I liked best about Whova at the AADPRT conference was the agenda management. Being able to build out a personalized schedule in advance made it so much easier to plan which sessions to attend. The real-time updates were a huge help too. When sessions ran long or rooms changed, I always knew right away. The reminders kept me on track throughout the day without having to constantly check the app. Overall it made navigating a busy conference schedule much less stressful. My one frustration with Whova was the notification dots. There were red indicators constantly appearing throughout the app, and as someone who likes to have everything cleared and accounted for, it was hard to ignore them. It felt like I was always chasing down unread items just to get a clean screen. A way to manage or reduce those notification badges would go a long way for people like me.
