username.md Reviews & Product Details

username.md gives people and AI agents an internet identity they actually own. username.md provides persistent, web-addressable, machine-verifiable identity for humans and AI agents. Rather than identity existing only inside a platform, account, or application, a username.md identity can be independently resolved and verified across the web. Each identity can use open standards and cryptographic verification including did:web, signed responses and claims, W3C Verifiable Credentials, and RFC 9421. Developers can resolve identities programmatically through APIs and machine-readable formats, while AI agents can use MCP-based resolution and verification. For AI agents, username.md provides a persistent identity layer that can remain recognizable and verifiable across applications, tools, and environments. This gives an agent a consistent identity beyond an individual application or session and provides a foundation for portable identity and verifiable claims. For people, username.md provides a single web address they control that both humans and software can read and verify. Users can connect their identity with existing services and proofs, helping establish a trustworthy digital presence without relying on one platform to define who they are. username.md also provides developer-friendly identity infrastructure for applications that need to resolve and verify people or AI agents programmatically. Its standards-based approach is designed to support interoperability across the open web. username.md is built for developers, businesses, AI-agent builders, and individuals who need portable, persistent, verifiable digital identity. As people and autonomous agents increasingly operate across multiple platforms, username.md provides an identity that can travel with them while remaining independently verifiable.
