## About Trellix Intelligent Virtual Execution (IVX)
IVX is a signature-less, dynamic analysis engine that captures and confirms zero-day, and targeted APT attacks. IVX identifies attacks that evade traditional signature-based defenses by detonating suspicious files, web objects, URLs, and email attachments within a proprietary hypervisor instrumented for over 200 potential simultaneous executions. IVX accelerates incident response by enabling analysts to visualize how malware is behaving within the virtual image and securely interact with malware to test effectiveness of countermeasures. Available on prem or as a cloud-native service Trellix IVX delivers proven, flexible analysis capabilities wherever you need to quickly inspect and verdict potentially malicious content. SOC analysts can manually submit objects for inspection and insight. Or seamlessly integrate IVX with enterprise applications— built or bought—for continuous and frictionless protection.

**What do you like best about Trellix Intelligent Virtual Execution (IVX)?**

It had the potential to be a perfect all in one suite to rule over all security needs.

Implementation is easy.
It's has many features.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lily M. O. | Planner, Architecture & Planning, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Trellix Intelligent Virtual Execution (IVX)?**

I love that McAfee is still acting as one of the leading defense walls for IP and computer virus detection. It seems like it's been around forever, and because of which there are a lot of types of defense software now through McAfee to fit whatever personal or professional need you have.

**What do you dislike about Trellix Intelligent Virtual Execution (IVX)?**

Since McAfee has been around for so long, there are a lot of "knock-off" brands and hackers disguised as McAfee program or threat detection software. This makes it difficult to sometimes know for sure that you're installing the correct program to your computer.

**Recommendations to others considering Trellix Intelligent Virtual Execution (IVX):**

Definitely, download McAfee Advanced Threat Defense. The program is dependable and can extend to everyone in your office. It is not too pricey and licenses last up to several years.

**What problems is Trellix Intelligent Virtual Execution (IVX) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My computer is strictly for professional use and has nearly a full hard-drive of documents and encrypted data that needs to be protected. McAfee provides a dependable service for everyone in my office's computers and performs security scans that don't disrupt work or anything going on at the same time.

  ### 20. Good overprotective threat protection, but hindering normal system features

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rahul B. | Design Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Trellix Intelligent Virtual Execution (IVX)?**

The user interface is probably the best part of the software. It looks great with all the essential information being displayed like System Status, DNS Status, Uptime, Load, Memory Utilization for beginners. User Interface also covers useful information like summary of top 10 malwares detected with their priority, status and count of file which are scanned.

**What do you dislike about Trellix Intelligent Virtual Execution (IVX)?**

Most of the system in which this is installed, the default protection is disabled. This brings to the thought that why cannot both protection system work independently. It also hinders most of the operating system updates which is very annoying. Once it happened that one of the critical windows update was blocked by the McAfee defense system for which I had to literally disable the antivirus engine for downloading the update.

**Recommendations to others considering Trellix Intelligent Virtual Execution (IVX):**

The Malware engine (Sandbox & GAM) is very good by the way it provides defence and security for your system, however it does comes with its own disadvantages of involving into usual operating system updates and few process. So keep in mind while considering this protection system.

**What problems is Trellix Intelligent Virtual Execution (IVX) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One click drop box in the User Interface for view the timeline of the virus protection offered is the one of the biggest time saving option for the business. This help you to get quick summary for virus affected status for newly added files. I felt this is on the best time saving feature with quick reporting access for beginners with less skill sets needed.

  ### 21. Leading Company

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2019

**What do you like best about Trellix Intelligent Virtual Execution (IVX)?**

McAfee itself has been around for such a long time. The company is great. The products are great. There is really not much to complain about. I had this in both personal and business. I have never had an issue in the past. I trust this company/product. Definitely brought peace to mind. Love the sandboxing feature. We all are curious about the threats and the evaluation of the threats.

**What do you dislike about Trellix Intelligent Virtual Execution (IVX)?**

Like in the paragraph of what I liked best, I mentioned I cannot complain. I believe this is one of the products to consider if you want to stay protected. The only real issue was the cost and occasional blockers, but I would rather have the annoying blockers than be unprotected.

**Recommendations to others considering Trellix Intelligent Virtual Execution (IVX):**

If price is not a factor, then McAfee is the way to go. Unfortunately, within the last year we had to switch to a different product. Being a small business budget is essential. It is easy to work with and it works in the background keeping you and your important data protected.

**What problems is Trellix Intelligent Virtual Execution (IVX) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have sensitive documents and data that need to stay protected at all times. Each employee uses computers all the time when they are at work. Our company needs to make sure sites that can cause viruses are blocked. If it was not for the cost, our company would have continued with McAfee.

  ### 22. Mcafee

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Heather K. | Cna, Hospital & Health Care, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2019

**What do you like best about Trellix Intelligent Virtual Execution (IVX)?**

I like this software because it detects and analyzes aggressive Malware or viruses that are in a network or computer and determines how they will best be treated and what damage they could do internally.

**What do you dislike about Trellix Intelligent Virtual Execution (IVX)?**

The cost is outrageous, it has constant updates and pop ups to remind you of things that it feels needs to be done.

**What problems is Trellix Intelligent Virtual Execution (IVX) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps detect Malware I may have not detected because it has a larger wheelhouse of things it's looking for being how updated this system is.

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2018

**What do you like best about Trellix Intelligent Virtual Execution (IVX)?**

I have done some PoC with different solutions to protect against zero-day attacks and sophisticated threats. McAfee was one of the biggest projects I have deployed in telco provider. The implementation was really easy. Moreover, user interface is quite simple and friendly for me. The most powerful features are machine learning and sandboxing with excellent protection. It also supports static code analysis, which was very useful. All the malicious files have been blocked during testing period. Generally, I am impressed with McAfee vision of APT protection and their Global Threat Intelligence. We have deployed different technologies from McAfee and the it really works.

**What do you dislike about Trellix Intelligent Virtual Execution (IVX)?**

We did not have some serious problems, so there is nothing to say here.

**Recommendations to others considering Trellix Intelligent Virtual Execution (IVX):**
