"Fast, Cloud-Based Tourwriter for Building Tailor-Made Trips Anywhere"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Tourwriter?

What I like best about Tourwriter is that it is cloud-based and very fast, which makes it easy to access and use from anywhere. I also really like that it offers multiple features that help us build tailor-made trips efficiently. For a tour company like ours, that flexibility and speed are especially valuable because it allows us to create customized itineraries more smoothly and manage our work in a more organized way and of course remotely. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tourwriter?

What I dislike about Tourwriter is that there are still some features that need to be built or improved.

While the platform is already very useful, there are times when we need additional functionality to make the workflow even smoother and more complete for our team.

That said, I appreciate that there is a common area where feature requests can be submitted, and I’ve found that the team is responsive and handles these requests. So although there is room for improvement, I do feel that the product has a lot of potential and continues to develop in a positive direction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"100% ease in building and managing itineraries"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Tourwriter?

Its easy set up an itinerary and easy to make changes. I love that you can email suppliers directly from the software and confirmation comes back into the system so you can know exactly what the status of each activity/stage of the itinerary is at.

The software presents a clean, clear and professional looking final product that you can send to clients and all the T&C's etc are included. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tourwriter?

It takes some time to input all the suppliers, but they all go into a larger database so in some cases the product/activity/accommodation may already be in the system. There is an upfront time cost in learning the various nuances of the software but once you've got that sorted its good times! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Itinerary Design with Exceptional Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about Tourwriter?

I value Tourwriter's powerful back end and visually strong front end that our clients see. Having all our supplier partner information, including product descriptions, pricing, commissions, payment terms, and cancellation terms, in one platform keeps us using Tourwriter. The recent integration with Xero accounting adds even more value by saving time in managing each file. I also appreciate that the initial setup was simple and that the product is very intuitive. What do you dislike about Tourwriter?

When Tourwriter manages to get supplier rates updated automatically each season, they will be near perfection. It is a labor-intensive task that is necessary year-round due to suppliers changing pricing each season. If this could be done automatically when the rates are sent via email, then we would save a lot of time and likely improve on data entry accuracy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Tourwriter Transformed Our Itinerary Creation and Presentation"
5/5
What do you like best about Tourwriter?

Tourwriter has transformed how our team creates and presents itineraries. The output is beautifully presented, and the platform itself is straightforward and efficient to work with. It has made a real difference to how we operate day to day. Highly recommend to any tour operator. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tourwriter?

Somtimes changing pricing or tour times after the tour is confirmed and marked as booked can be tedious with needing to undo the confirmation, mark the new changes, then mark the component as confirmed again rather than just making the changes right away regardless on if the component is booked or not.

Also, when opening Tourwriter on a mobile phone website, you cannot scroll to the right on the backend to see the full itinerary. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I Like Tourwriter"
5/5
What do you like best about Tourwriter?

Great team, great product. Tourwriter is a key part of how we run our business, and the people behind it are great to work with. If you're looking for a professional itinerary platform backed by a good team, Tourwriter fits the bill. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tourwriter?

Very little to comment on. Occasional downtime for updates is annoying but is communicated well in advance and is always short. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Slick, Elegant Interface with Great Content Control"
4/5
What do you like best about Tourwriter?

The client interface is slick and elegant. There is a good balance of depth of content and control of it for the travel agent, without being overly complex. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tourwriter?

Tour map feature is poor, you can't upload clients documents to the tool, and opaque decision-making around improvements of the tool despite requests Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Trip Planning"
4/5
What do you like best about Tourwriter?

I like the functionality of how Tourwriter makes it easy to build trips. It works really well as far as putting various elements together and keeping track of them. I appreciate that they're constantly improving and updating the service, which helps in putting trips together more quickly by taking elements and assembling them efficiently. What do you dislike about Tourwriter?

The design of the client facing plans seems a little dated, and the image quality is very low. It does not allow for us to use very sharp, beautiful images or make the presentations seem on-brand. They claim it's for loading reasons, but other platforms manage high-quality images without issues. We also find it hard that Tourwriter does not integrate with our CRM. "The most detailed itinerary builder"
5/5
What do you like best about Tourwriter?

Tourwriter is a really strong tool for travel designers and tour operators, and what stands out most is how efficient and customizable it is. Here are the highlights I’d say are “best”:

End-to-End Itinerary Management – It handles everything from proposals to final itineraries, so you don’t have to juggle multiple platforms.

Drag-and-Drop Itinerary Building – Makes complex trip planning faster and more visual, which is a big win for boutique agencies like yours.

Supplier Database & Rates Management – You can store suppliers, contracts, and pricing in one place, so quoting is quick and consistent.

Custom Branding – Itineraries look polished and completely on-brand, which is perfect for a luxury brand like Thistle & Key.

Collaboration-Friendly – Easy for teams to work on itineraries together or hand off tasks seamlessly.

Scalability – Works well whether you’re a solo operator or growing into a larger team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tourwriter?

Steeper Learning Curve – Because it’s feature-rich, it can feel overwhelming at first and requires some setup time. However Jess and the team were amazing as holding my hand and showing how impressive the system is. Once you have the hang of it your off! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great implementation support! Easy to work with, full of helpful ideas and ways to improve workflow "
4.5/5
What do you like best about Tourwriter?

Putting together an itinerary is quick and easy for our sales agents. Sending the booking request to the vendors is now a process that only takes a minute. Before TourWriter it was a very long process and there was a great potential for human errors. They are always willing to talk about a problem that may come up and offer a variety of solutions. This allows us to decide which solution is best for our company. They have great people working for them who really take the time to listen and explain and never seem to tire of our many questions! Our booking process has become very streamlined and we are now able to hire and train new sales agents since TourWriter is easy to learn and use. We have just completed the set up for our accounting module and plan to roll out the Groups module in the fourth quarter. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tourwriter?

If TourWriter had the ability to assign a task to a co-worker then it would be perfect! We would then be able to get rid of the steps we have to add to Asana for each booking we process. Currently, the tasks in the to do list can only be set up for the person assigned to the booking. But we have many team members doing differnt tasks on each booking, so if we could assign them to the person responsible, then we would not have to go outside of TourWriter to do anything.
