"TVM Does What You Need"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Tenable Vulnerability Management?

The GUI, while a little intimidating, and initially a bit confusing when you start to drill down to individual aspects, is fairly straightforward and shows you what you need. Since the refresh/upgrade a few months ago it's also somewhat more responsive, which is good. It's always good to know that as it's cloud-based the plugins are always the most recent version, as are any fixes to any aspect of it. I am a little concerned that repeated scans tend to cause some findings to appear and disappear, but that is something I'm taking up with Tenable Support at the moment, who seem to be fairly responsive, if a little slow to take RFEs on board. What do you dislike about Tenable Vulnerability Management?

As mentioned previously, there is a slight concern about findings which appear in one iteration of a scan vanishing when the same scan is run again. We're trying to pin down if it's our fault or Tenable's at the moment. The GUI, as already also mentioned can be a bit confusing and frustrating when trying to drill down to a specific plugin, host, or other specific item. What probably frustrates us the most is the amount of false positives because of the lack of joined-uppedness when it comes to talking to vendors about the concept and execution of backporting, and therefore how version numbering is not the be-all and end-all of vulnerability identification. "Outstanding TVM Features and Support, Needs Better Asset Licensing Controls"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Tenable Vulnerability Management?

SentinelOne’s Threat and Vulnerability Management (TVM) product is a strong solution with a rich set of features and excellent overall performance. The platform provides deep visibility, clear remediation guidance, and a very user-friendly interface that makes it easy to prioritize and act on vulnerabilities.

Support from SentinelOne has also been outstanding — responsive, knowledgeable, and proactive in addressing questions or issues.

Also, deployment is a snap. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tenable Vulnerability Management?

The only drawback I've encountered is around asset licensing management. It would be helpful to have more granular controls for excluding non-relevant or "ghost" assets, such as IoT or VOIP devices, from consuming licenses. Enhancing this capability would make an already excellent product even better.

I'd also like to see better reporting around the management of vulnerabilities over 90-plus days old in the environment and agents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Scanning Capabilities, But User Account Setup Is Frustrating"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Tenable Vulnerability Management?

I like the ability to scan internal and external resources as well as web applications. The app has great filtering capabilities as well as tagging, allowing you to compartmentalize sites and services into containers that you can scan and report on separately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tenable Vulnerability Management?

It's annoying to create user accounts where they do not share the same domain as you. We take care of a lot of different sites and want to allow users to login to view their vulnerabilities but this limitation makes it difficult. I have to put in a ticket every time I want to add a new user's domain. The cost of web application scanning is much higher than normal licensing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Tenable Vulnerability Management?

The Tenable solution addressed all our needs, from identifying assets within our environment to performing vulnerability scans both with and without privileged access. I also appreciate the ability to create groups, such as by location, which makes organization much easier. Additionally, the reporting features are excellent right out of the box. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tenable Vulnerability Management?

At the moment, there isn't anything that I particularly dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Absolutely Love This Software!"
4/5
What do you like best about Tenable Vulnerability Management?

The best feature of Tenable Vulnerability Management is the Vulnerability Priority Rating (VPR). Unlike standard CVSS scores, VPR uses threat intelligence to accurately predict which vulnerabilities are most likely to be exploited in the real world. This powerful risk-based prioritization allows security teams to efficiently focus remediation efforts on the few issues that truly matter Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tenable Vulnerability Management?

The platform can be quite expensive, and the licensing model (often based on the number of assets or resources scanned) can feel prohibitive or complex to manage for organizations with tight budgets or rapidly changing infrastructure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful and very up-to-date tools"
5/5
What do you like best about Tenable Vulnerability Management?

I like the large number of plugins available, the speed with which they are released, and the frequency of updates. I find the entire scanning process fast and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tenable Vulnerability Management?

I find the reporting part to be quite limited, so much so that we need to process the data externally to generate more refined and personalized reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
