They always listen to our feature requests and deliver on them. In addition to that, they even push our team to test and try new features and make sure we're up to date with it. **What do you dislike about Sysdig Monitor?** Sysdig monitor is easy to setup and use. We use it on everyday basis to monitor and alert on our infrastructure. I like how we can enable and disable metrics via UI to reduce metrics load. I can play with PromQL querries in the sysdig envivronment. Their metrics explorer feature is very useful to understand what we're pushing in the system. We can also include separate resource definitions for each container in case we run multiple containers in the same pod. There are various considerations we need to keep in mind while working with our cluster infrastructure, pod scheduling & resource constraints. We need to be aware of all operational changes so that we can timely resolve performance issues using Sysdig log metrics. **What problems is Sysdig Monitor solving and how is that benefiting you?** Event management is brilliantly handled using Sysdig Monitor for our Kubernetes cluster. All monitoring & security events are portrayed in its unified event stream dashboard & we can also keep track of the live events feed. We used to have few standalone tools for our container monitoring & security, but after implementing Sysdig Monitor, we could track events, manage alerts and troubleshoot container issues with its single pane of glass console. They are always there for you to get your problems solved immediately (e.g., by making a quick workaround) and permanently (e.g., by incorporating changes into the product to better support your use case) **What do you dislike about Sysdig Monitor?** I want Sysdig to provide better consultation on the container infrastructure and runtime security (Linux, Kubernetes, Container Runtime, Networking Layer). They are excellent at providing support for their tools, and their engineering teams have the know-how needed to guide in the cybersecurity aspects of the infrastructure that runs containers. Today they are mainly focused on their tools, though. **What problems is Sysdig Monitor solving and how is that benefiting you?** My main problem is detecting suspicious activity in our Kubernetes Cluster (e.g., crypto mining, network exploration, etc.) I am also using the scanning infrastructure to evaluate our images before deployment on CI/CD and enforce policies in the production environment. The significant benefit I realized was that I had a system that could address these problems in almost no time. It would have taken an extended amount of time to develop the know-how and tools required to address those issues independently, and Sysdig provides a consolidated way of doing it. ### 16. With sysdig we are doing a vulnerability assessment of our run time and build time containers. We are also achieving to perform security assessment in our CI/CD pipelines. I also really like the UI itself, I think it's quite intuitive and readable. It's easy to navigate through it and create new resources like alarms and dashboards. The documentation is really clear, but otherwise the team is also very helpful in case some functionality is not directly available or unclear. **What do you dislike about Sysdig Monitor?** Sometimes it's hard to debug what's wrong with Sysdig agents. It would be also nice to have a common login to multiple Sysdig products (e.g. Sysdig Monitor and Sysdig Secure) **What problems is Sysdig Monitor solving and how is that benefiting you?** Monitoring of Kubernetes clusters and making sure they're secure. Sysdig provides great data into ongoing activities and vulnerabilities within the cluster, I especially like the Image Scanning and Network Topology features that provide meaningful insights. I think other benefits are that everybody can track whatever is important for them, thanks to many custom metrics that can be exported via the Sysdig agents, so overall any engineer can contribute to the monitoring and alarming, which is great. It's really easy to setup a dashboard and see the correlation with events in the cluster. ### 19. The array of integrations makes it easy to be notified on your platform of choice. **What do you dislike about Sysdig Monitor?** Sysdig can sometimes be a little slow to load metircs / dashboards when viewing a large time period, but otherwise is very easy to navigate and is fast loading for small time periods. **Recommendations to others considering Sysdig Monitor:** Sysdig is an awesome tool for monitoring container infrastructure - while the built in dashboards are great, the custom dashboards and metrics hold a lot of value and Sysdig has been extremely generous in their time assisting with creating alerts, dashboards and has even been open to feedback and requests for new features that have been implemented at our request. **What problems is Sysdig Monitor solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are using Sysdig to monitor applications and infrastructure - with Sysdig we can learn when latency for an applciation is too high, or when infrastructure components are unstable. The best thing about Sysdig platform is working with Sysdig team to address our needs and work with us to get the most out of the platform. The team is always available to answer questions and provide support and guidance and has been the best experience I've had in my career working with a software vendor company. We have initially started with our own on-prem deployment of Sysdig, but have migrated to SaaS offering in order to leverage newest features offered by the platform more rapidly. In addition, the Sysdig product team was very receptive to hear our own unique use cases and help include features and functionalities that address our unique business needs. **What do you dislike about Sysdig Monitor?** There is nothing I dislike about Sysdig at this time. The platform has been extremely easy to integrate into our cloud and we rely heavily on it for our monitoring and security needs. We have found it extremely easy to work with the Sysdig team to expand features and functionality that better suit our business needs. **Recommendations to others considering Sysdig Monitor:** If you're looking for a platform to monitor and secure your containerized workloads, Sysdig is absolutely worth taking a look at. We have centralized and brought into a single place all the monitoring and security scanning needs for our cloud offering running on Kubernetes. We utilize the Sysdig platform to perform inline scans of all our container images during build time, report on any potential security issues early in the process, and give Engineering teams early warning and ability to address any security concerns before their containerized workloads are deployed into Staging and Production environments. Additionally, once deployed into Production systems, the containers are scanned and the systems are monitored by Sysdig platform for anomalies and reported via multiple notification platforms such as Slack, Email, and OpsGenie. ### 22. Few other offerings have such in-depth inspection and on top of that allowing alerting or actions upon those things in a fully customizable way. **What do you dislike about Sysdig Monitor?** Sometimes there's almost too much depth, but only if you don't know what you're looking for, which is essentially related to the users knowledge of what they are tasking Sysdig to work with. The good part is that many of the pre-canned policies, benchmarks and dashboards tend to solve for this. **What problems is Sysdig Monitor solving and how is that benefiting you?** Have solved for several cases, some of which include: meeting security requirements, addressing the need for SIEM, or simply alerting of deeper components in kubernetes deployments, as well as application specific integrations. If you are looking are not rolling your own monitoring and everything that entails, I truly recommend giving this platform a try. **What problems is Sysdig Monitor solving and how is that benefiting you?** We've had the need to provide production/non-production monitoring to our clients for awhile. Sysdig has helped us achieve this quickly and reliably without having to setup, manage and maintain all the infrastructure required. Once the agent is installed, there is almost no configuration you need to do to start creating dashboards and alerts. Most of the dashboards can be generated automatically from the built in ones they provide. The integration with Slack is a real bonus also. **What do you dislike about Sysdig Monitor?** Wish it penetrated the code level and captured logs. But that is really the realm of other solutions (logging and tracing) **What problems is Sysdig Monitor solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are aware of what images are out of compliance and have developed a process for remediation as soon as vulnerabilities are patched in base images. We also get instant alerts about pod and kubernetes node health straight to Slack. This tightens our security and limits downtime to almost nothing. ### 31.
