When we go for any online business, it's a primary need to secure our online shop. Solidus is a coded platform with Ruby, a perfect language for providing security to an online platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Though some complexity came across, it's okay because all other features are fantastic. There is no complaint about this app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Solidus, well Spree. Spree without the bugs, the broken community."
4/5
What do you like best about Solidus?

Solidus is a highly capable e-commerce platform that is quickly diverging from its legacy as an fork of the Spree project. Spree was left to dwindle to nothing. This stems from an acquisition by First Data. There is a very lively attempt to continue with the Spree codebase, but the level of engineering and the community is superior in favor of Solidus. What do you dislike about Solidus?

There is a lot of complexity around inventory/stock management that a lot of stores simply will not need. And for very large stores this can get in the way of scaling if it is not rolled out the right way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Highly customizable platform for online commerce"
4/5
What do you like best about Solidus?

The platform is well built on popular open source software like Ruby, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL or Mysql.

It's professionally-developed by e-commerce experts and hundreds of contributors.

Extensibility, code integrity and security are the main goals of the project.

You will need a Ruby on Rails developer to build and deploy your site, and a good one to build a top class, custom application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Solidus?

Some parts of the code need improvements or rewrite to become top-class components.

Those changes are already discussed and planned for future releases.
