"Siteimprove - It covers what we need and more."

What do you like best about Siteimprove?

One of the best features in Siteimprove is the ability to set up groups. A person can select a group and the results are tailored just for their needs. We have many sites, but certain individuals are only responsible for a handful of them. With groups, they only see what they need. The use of policies is beneficial for our digital governance. Their digital analytics is easy for our authors to use. We have always had a great turn around when sending questions to their support.

What do you dislike about Siteimprove?

The price starts getting high when you get into hundreds of thousands of pages for a large enterprise website. I wish it would work behind our firewall so we could use it for our intranet.

What problems is Siteimprove solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use it for finding broken links, better our accessibility, improve our SEO, and much more. From authors to programmers, this tool has shown us how our work has improved our site through their DCI (Digital Certainty Index). It has inspired great conversations between, users, authors, and programmers.

"A Must-have in Your Digital Marketing Toolbox"

What do you like best about Siteimprove?

Nearly everything about this system is best-of-breed and simply awesome! I can't imagine running our enterprise-wide website and digital marketing efforts without Siteimprove by our side all the way. It simply rocks and so do the people behind it. From one product, that is directly tied to my CMS, I can take care of all site maintenance. Not only that, I can monitor analytics, improve SEO, look for untapped opportunities, monitor campaign conversions, and so much more. What's even better is they have an awesome team behind the scenes that is very accessible - whether it is a support issue to providing input on feature enhancements, they listen and respond!

What do you dislike about Siteimprove?

The only thing I slightly dislike is that as new features are added sometimes they cost extra as opposed to included in your annual fee. If it is a feature that is related to an existing module that is usually complimentary. However, as the platform continues to be built out, new modules often cost additional. I understand, but it is difficult to justify sometimes in a non-profit higher education environment where budgets are set way in advance.

Recommendations to others considering Siteimprove:

If I were charged with the management of any enterprise-wide website, I would purchase Siteimprove to stand alongside my CMS in a heartbeat! It is easily worth every penny and saves your staff time/money which in turn ultimately shows up in the form of better results for your company's bottom line.

What problems is Siteimprove solving and how is that benefiting you?

Siteimprove helps us tremendously with SEO, campaign measurement, traditional web analytics, and user behavior mapping just to name a few. Feature-packed to help us solve problems daily and improve our customer experience!

"Would Recommend"

What do you like best about Siteimprove?

I like that we have support. Other analytics tools I've used in the past feel more like you're walking in the dark. So thank you for being helpful.

What do you dislike about Siteimprove?

There's not much I dislike. I guess one thing is that I have to reteach myself things often because there is so much to sift through, but I think that comes with the analytics territory.

What problems is Siteimprove solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are trying to solve SEO and content problems. The benefit is that we're able to get an SEO overview and get a summary of our content.

"SiteImprove is robust, user-friendly and well supported to help drive website success"

What do you like best about Siteimprove?

The UI intuitive and user-friendly. The navigation, dashboards and policies make it pretty straightforward to understand what you are seeing and how to take action. I am a data geek, so I have used dozens of BI tools and databases, which can have a steep learning curve, but SiteImprove makes it easy for web admins, content managers and executives to understand the current state of the website, the trendlines of process in different areas and the opportunities for improvement. We started with just the QA module (including Accessibility) and made a lot of gains in a s short time. The interface, customer success manager and support were all strong, so we added the SEO module, then Analytics and recently the Performance module to help with page load speed optimization. I like the DCI (Digital Certainty Index) and have included it in my team goals.

What do you dislike about Siteimprove?

We have struggled a bit with implementing custom event tracking in Analytics. The SiteImprove support team is very responsive, but we are used to doing everything ourselves in Google Tag Manager, so it is a bit of a mind-shift to work through their support team or to develop the custom events in JS.

What problems is Siteimprove solving and how is that benefiting you?

SiteImprove is improving the digital experience on our websites, by identifying issues, such as broken links, slow page loads and accessibility issues. In addition, SiteImprove serves as a comprehensive cockpit to analyzing and improving our sites. We have built our our Website KPIs (and underlying metrics and categories) in SiteImprove and found it to be much quicker and easier than other analytics tools. We actually started to build these out in Google Anlaytics, but ran into problems grouping pages in a manner that aligned with our content owners and goals. We have a number of other analytical tools tied to our website, but we keep coming back to SiteImprove, as it is effective and we can see our progress and prioritize next steps very easily.
