"So Helpful for Website Managers"

What do you like best about Siteimprove?

Siteimprove has been a critical part of our web governance strategy for about a decade now. The analytics data is a lot easier to interpret and finesse than Google Analytics. The QA tools are key so we can find misspellings, broken links, run inventory on all the assets that make up our site, setup policies so we can find exact files that we need, etc. I greatly appreciate Siteimproves focus on accessibility and all the myriad ways we can use the tool to do automated checks to work in tandem with manual checks for accessibility.

What do you dislike about Siteimprove?

I feel like the SEO module is still a little rough, it hasn't panned out to be as useful as we hoped. I keep hoping that updates will make it as powerful for us as every other module. I'm not ready to dismiss it yet!

What problems is Siteimprove solving and how is that benefiting you?

Siteimprove provides easy to use analytics tools that can be understood by anyone at our organization. This way we can share reports to show efficacy and that we are solving the problems that we had hoped with our website. I love the accessibility modules and QA to help us keep tabs on everything.

"Great platform for quality assurance, website analytics and accessibility compliance."

What do you like best about Siteimprove?

I love the site analytic tools built into SiteImprove. It's so much more intuitive than Google Analytics and my favorite tool is the behavior tracking view that will easily show you where users are coming from and where they're going next. I also like how analytics are built into other tools like broken links, so you can easily see how that link disrupts user behavior.

What do you dislike about Siteimprove?

The new dashboard reporting structure is a bit cumbersome with the permissions. You have to create dashboards to generate reports, and dashboards aren't easy to limit access. It's either on for everyone or not, which can cause issues when trying to segment reports and access.

What problems is Siteimprove solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use SiteImprove for managing a very decentralized university website. I love that we can set up groups and permissions so that certain users can see the content they have control over and not be bothered by the things that don't relate to their area.

"Siteimprove makes QA easy and analytics accessible to everyone on the team"

What do you like best about Siteimprove?

Our team loves Siteimprove because it automates broken links and typo reporting to our users across the university and integrates seamlessly with our Omni CMS to allow repairs with one click. We also have the analytics solution, which is much more user-friendly than Google and has allowed our users to gather their own analytics data, saving tons of time. Siteimprove also has excellent training materials available.

What do you dislike about Siteimprove?

Not being able to set a default dashboard for different types of users has caused a little confusion since we have multiple dashboards available, but other than that it's challenging to think of anything to dislike.

What problems is Siteimprove solving and how is that benefiting you?

With Siteimprove, we are saving our small digital strategy team's time every day because it does the heavy lifting of automated error reporting to our 600+ CMS users. It has also been useful for scanning our million+ pages when offices change names or go away.

"Better than Google Analytics"

What do you like best about Siteimprove?

The way that SiteImprove presents the data in a much more easily digestible way makes it so easy to find what I'm looking for.

What do you dislike about Siteimprove?

Wish SiteImprove had an easier way to add tracking events inside their platform.

What problems is Siteimprove solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are solving major quality assurance issues that we have had amongst other units/departments within our university. Site managers are better able to get on top of misspellings and broken links because of SiteImprove. We are also seeing added benefits using their SEO and Analytics tools as well.

"A great all-round package for SEO and analytics teams"

What do you like best about Siteimprove?

Siteimprove is a very intuitive tool that is easy to understand and user-friendly. It's a great way of condensing all of your SEO and analytics requirements into one place to measure our website and content from both perspectives. It is well-organised and simple to get to grips with. The site makes suggestions on both technical and content SEO requirements and has a useful feature that recommends which work should be done first based on the complexity of the task in question and the predicted improvement to your site once finished. This makes organising workflows and prioritising tasks easy. The Siteimprove package is also supported by good customer service and a thorough Help Centre - if you need to know something, chances are there will be online tools to explain it.

What do you dislike about Siteimprove?

One challenge we have is that Siteimprove doesn't connect to our CMS. So whilst the Siteimprove software will flag up areas that need improvement or development, it is still a manual process to find those areas within our CMS system and correct them. As a large institution with a complex CMS covering multiple websites and thousands of pages, this can be time-consuming but it wouldn't put me off investing in a software tool such as Siteimprove in the first place. Also, keep an eye on your credit allowance - you can soon eat them up when running multiple activity plans at the same time!

Recommendations to others considering Siteimprove:

It's a great package for medium-sized businesses looking to improve their SEO and analytics. The easy-to-understand features, customer support and high level of online information mean you don't need to be an SEO expert to benefit from Siteimprove, although it offers capabilities for SEO specialists as well.

What problems is Siteimprove solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use the Siteimprove package to inform our SEO project, ensuring we are following a data-led pathway that will result in genuine improvements to our website. The site is particularly useful at measuring our key content against our competitors and the dashboards allow us to share top-end information with colleagues and management quickly and easily without having to compile separate reports. This saves time and ensures that our reporting sticks to predefined areas of the business that we want to focus on. The keywords fuction also allows us to ensure our priority pages are optimised for the sort of content our audience is looking for.

"Amazing Product and Customer Service"

What do you like best about Siteimprove?

SiteImprove helps easily point out issues with our website as it relates to quality assurance, accessibility, and SEO. The tool is easy to navigate and find the issues that are categorized in those three buckets. If you do have an issue with something within the product, their customer services/success team is extremely responsive. Any business should have SiteImprove to help with their website health.

What do you dislike about Siteimprove?

There isn't much I dislike about the product.

What problems is Siteimprove solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use SiteImprove to improve our website health. The problems we are trying to solve are making our site more accessible to anybody and everybody and to make it easier to find on the internet.
