"Automation Streamlines Service Management"
5/5
What do you like best about ServiceChannel?

I really like the automation in ServiceChannel. It allows our clients to program the time frame they want us to come for maintenance, whether quarterly or semiannually, and the dispatches will automatically happen on the first of the month. It makes the whole process so much easier because we don't have to request new invoices or tickets every time; it just happens automatically. This automation definitely enhances efficiency for us because the service requests generate on their own. It streamlines everything from receiving the dispatch, working through it, completing it, invoicing, and finally receiving the payment. I also found the initial setup pretty easy, similar to setting up any other account. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceChannel?

Some of the problem descriptions within ServiceChannel aren't elaborate enough. It can be hard to clock out when we're on our job site, which might be due to cellular signals, not necessarily a ServiceChannel issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Customer Communication and Custom Filters for a Smoother Workflow"
5/5
What do you like best about ServiceChannel?

Service channel provides ways to easily communicate with customers. They also provide customized settings so you can easily organize/ gain access to work orders you only want to see. Narrowing down your filters will allow to quick and easy work flow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceChannel?

Rarely it will move a bit slow. For example when inputting a note it will spin for a minute but then eventually work. Some days the whole system is down but I can count on one hand how many times that has happened for an extended period of time in the 3 years I have been using it. "Centralized Platform Boosts Efficiency"
5/5
What do you like best about ServiceChannel?

I really like that ServiceChannel provides one unified portal where both the customer and my team can access the same information. Each of us may have our own portals, but ServiceChannel integrates them into one platform, making communication straightforward and creating a paper trail for reference. This centralized setup reduces confusion and accountability issues throughout the service process. It's also an easy place for customers to chime in with questions or concerns, and for us to keep them updated on ongoing issues. Additionally, I find ServiceChannel extremely simple to use compared to other portals, making it my top choice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceChannel?

There's occasional delays like when you update a post or when attachments are loaded. Also, when reporting, it's harder to find reports to be able to generate. For instance, for a quarterly business review, if we could streamline some of those. Additionally, there are some reports that the customer has that they've asked us to give them a review on, like customer surveys. We don't have access to them and have to get with the customer to tell us what that information is so that we can review it with them. Seems kind of odd, but that's what happens. "Easy Client Communication and Streamlined Work Order Management"
4.5/5
What do you like best about ServiceChannel?

Easy way to communicate with my clients. Easy to upload supporting documentation to a WO such as a service report or pictures highlighting an oppportunity needing to be addressed. It keeps our team organized and streamlines the WO process from start to finish. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceChannel?

The search functionality can be difficult as we do not reference the WO# regularly in our own dispatch/service system. This means I have to bounce back and forth to reference a WO in SC and a service ticket in our system. Additionally, the options for WO status do not always cover the true state of a given situation so we are forced to use the best "fit" and add additional context in the notes which is cumbersome. "Keeps Projects Organized with Ease"
5/5
What do you like best about ServiceChannel?

I find ServiceChannel incredibly helpful because it makes it super easy to remember where the project left off and helps keep the order of events and responses clear and precise. This clarity allows anyone jumping into the project to quickly get caught up within minutes. Also, the initial setup was a breeze—I just set up my email, and I was ready to go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceChannel?

I wish the search bar for searching the specific ticket items was a little friendlier, like if you know you have a ticket in NY, you can just type in NY and all tickets associated with NY would pop up from most recent to oldest. Another thing I would add would be seeing the uploaded images in the actual feed of inputted notes, so you know what photos go with what notes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"ServiceChannel Makes Customer Communication, Bids, Photos, and Billing Easy in One Place"
5/5
What do you like best about ServiceChannel?

Being a commercial contractor, Service Channel helps make our job easier by allowing us to communicate with our customers, send bids, upload pictures and bill all in one place. If we need to directly reach out by phone service channel also provides contact info for the customer without having to dig through contacts or past emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceChannel?

I don't like the check in feature. I understand how this could be helpful for clients, but we check in once we arrive and a lot of times we are in communication with branch managers and they are expecting us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized Work Orders with Real-Time Visibility and Strong Vendor Coordination"
5/5
What do you like best about ServiceChannel?

1. Centralized Work Order Management

Everything lives in one place—service requests, vendor assignments, updates, and invoices.

This makes it way easier to track what’s open, in progress, or completed without chasing emails.

2. Strong Vendor Network & Coordination

You can assign, communicate, and track vendors all within the platform.

Huge plus if you’re managing multiple subcontractors across different sites (which I know you do a lot of).

3. Real-Time Visibility

You get live updates, photos, and status changes from the field.

Helps avoid the “what’s going on at site?” guessing game and keeps clients informed quickly.

4. Invoice & Cost Control

Invoices are tied directly to work orders, making approvals and audits smoother.

Helps prevent billing discrepancies and keeps budgets tight.

5. Reporting & Analytics

Built-in dashboards let you track spend, response times, recurring issues, etc.

Super useful for spotting trends (like repeat service calls on the same sign or location).

6. Multi-Location Scalability

Designed for companies managing dozens—or thousands—of locations.

Perfect for programs like your White Castle rollout where consistency and tracking are everything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceChannel?

1. Outdated / Clunky Interface

A lot of users say the system feels old and not intuitive.

Hard to find key info inside work orders

Too many tabs / steps for simple tasks

Terminology can be confusing

One review literally said it’s “outdated looking and hard to find information.”

2. Slow Performance & Glitches

This one comes up a LOT.

Pages take time to refresh

Searches don’t always work the first time

Occasional system lag

Example: users report having to search a work order twice for it to show up.

3. Mobile App Issues (Big one for field work)

Check-in/check-out problems

GPS errors

Limited functionality compared to desktop

If the app fails, techs sometimes have to call in manually—and it doesn’t always count properly toward metrics.

For someone like you managing field teams → this is probably the most frustrating part.

4. Work Order Limitations

Can’t always edit or close out WOs easily

Have to rely on client/GC to close tickets

Scheduling restrictions once dates expire

Example: no direct way to fully close certain work orders without client action.

5. Steep Learning Curve / Complexity

Even though it can be simple once you know it…

Initial onboarding is confusing

Too many workflows / modules

Training isn’t always great

Users specifically say training “needs to be more involved.”

6. Customer Support Can Be Slow

Long wait times

Delayed responses from support team

Some users mention “slow response time” from support agents.

7. Pricing Concerns

Especially from smaller vendors/subs:

Considered expensive

Fees can eat into margins

Real-world sentiment: “ServiceChannel is very pricey but customizable.”

8. Vendor Scorecard / IVR Frustrations

This is a BIG one for contractors:

If check-in fails (app issue), it can hurt your score

System doesn’t always reflect real effort

Basically: the system can penalize vendors for tech issues—not performance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"ServiceChannel Makes Work Orders Easy to Manage and Close Fast"
5/5
What do you like best about ServiceChannel?

ServiceChannel is probably one of the easiest customer platforms to use. Communication is easy to follow on it with its layout and the reporting functions help gather information quickly. Servicechannel helps organize jobs, gives accurate time feedback, and gets jobs closed quickly with IVR option. Having our system integrate with Servicechannel allows for us to not miss a work order and ability to see notes and updates without having to switch back and forth between screens. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceChannel?

Only downside is when system is down it knocks out the ivr, and will drag to refresh. There is a 1-800 # to get support at all times though to manually clock in to ticket or report issues which is a plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Job Tracking, Client Updates, and Simple Invoice Uploads"
5/5
What do you like best about ServiceChannel?

ServiceChannel makes it easy to keep track of our jobs and post updates while tagging our clients for any actions or follow up. It's simple to upload our invoices. Sometimes I have issues with our scheduled service tickets not matching up with our service dates but that is usually easily remedied. It helps us manage our jobs and our guys in the field seem to have few problems using the mobile app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Client Updates and Simple Drag-and-Drop Uploads"
4.5/5
What do you like best about ServiceChannel?

It is very easy to keep clients updated by adding new notes, and uploading photos/documents for review or approval is made easier using the drag and drop feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceChannel?

Sometimes there are delays on invoicing due to the time it takes for site review/verification of job completion to be done. Having the automatic completion verification after a certain time period has passed helps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
