The GHG portal itself is well designed, intuitive, and easy to navigate. We were able to migrate nearly 5 years of data with minimal support, which was a real testament to the platform’s usability.

Some standout features for me include:

- a climate transition action plan that can be shared publicly, supporting greater transparency;

- built-in surveys to easily capture employee data;

- helpful resource and signposting pages; and

- AI-matched supplier surveys, which should support us in reducing our Scope 3 emissions over time.

The platform updates in real time and allows you to filter data by scope, category, location, and intensity targets. The step-by-step structure makes it clear what actions are needed, and the ‘Climate Action Committed’ badge provides a tangible milestone once these are completed. It really feels like a one-stop shop for building robust, audit-ready carbon metrics.

We developed a business case for the board comparing Seedling with several similar platforms, and it didn’t just come out on top—it stood out by a significant margin in terms of both cost and overall value.

I really like that the user interface of Seedling is user-friendly and enjoyable, making it easy to navigate to the area where we need to input all the figures for our carbon emissions. Plus, the Seedling team is very responsive, knowledgeable, and professional, and they guide us effectively when we have difficulties. I find this support very valuable. Additionally, the initial setup was a breeze because everything is clearly available, and it was very easy to input the necessary information. So far, I have no major issues. However, it would be helpful if the Seedling app could provide a more detailed breakdown for raw materials. For example, beef fro. the USA may have different carbon emission factor compared to beef from the UK or Spain, and the same could apply to vegetables and other ingredients depending on their source. It would also be plus point if we could track or input our carbon emissions on a monthly basis, as this would make the data more useful for monitoring progress over time.
