## Security Journey Reviews
  ### 1. Using Security Journey weekly as part of a secure coding roadmap

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexandre P. | Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Security Journey?**

To me, Security Journey stands apart firstly by the quality of the videos: The production quality, the quality of the conversations (how eloquent the interviews are), and how clear and accessible the content is.
Secondly, the tests are effective and just challenging enough for any prior level of knowledge.
This is a service to use as part of weekly or monthly activities, to fully get the benefit of learning, as part of a journey to know and do better in your role.
The interface is also very neat, professional and straightforward. It's an easy-to-use platform, which makes visiting the site enjoyable.

**What do you dislike about Security Journey?**

The lessons and tests that I have gone through as part of Security Journey itself are not hands-on, as opposed to practical exercices. And because of this, they require serious attention to retain the information.

**What problems is Security Journey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Security Journey is making me a better developer. I am able to remember key concepts during my application development and devops activities, and apply them using the examples provided in the lessons. It also leads me to always keeping security in mind, and making it a priority.

  ### 2. Security Journery White Belt to Green Belt user review.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muhammad Akmal Safira B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Security Journey?**

The quizzes that comes after each tutorial videos, I found it really beneficial for me to rate my understanding on that particular topic. The UI for the tutorial is also seemed helpful and user friendly as it gives me the ability to watch the video while scroll over the transcripts and do some note takings.

**What do you dislike about Security Journey?**

The notification email that I received sometimes are not aligned with the courses that I am allowed to take. For example, I'd received a notification that I'm preparing for Green Belt course, but when I checked my SecurityJourney account, I still didn't get the GB course. Same thing is happening now with Brown Belt. I received the notification email but still hasnt got the access to do the course.

**What problems is Security Journey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With this course, I am more aware of the current and existing threats that revolves around the tech industry thus I'm always taking the extra steps to detect the vulnerabilities and improve my test execution process.

**What do you like best about Security Journey?**

SJ is always making updates to improve the platform for learners and admin. Adding learners to the platform is easy. My Customer Success Manager and I talk on a weekly basis about assignments, suggested training, new feature requests, etc. I use the chat feature in the SJ platform regularly as well to connect with SJ support on issues. SJ works fast to resolve issues/errors identified in the platform.

**Reviewed by:** Vann W. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Security Journey?**

HackEDU breaks training up into short digestible trainings with practical examples. It is a far cry from horrible experiences with big corporate required trainings from my past.

In addition to the trainings themselves providing benefit, they've created a new focus for our team and have generated many discussions around our software base.

**What do you dislike about Security Journey?**

Nothing really so far. The only question I have is how valuable the system will be after the first year of training. I'm looking forward to seeing how HackEDU can support continuing training and provide coverage of recent security breaches. I know they have some materials along those lines already. Hope to see more in the future.

So far, i've had no negative feedback on the course at all. The only observation is that some of the teams have spent longer getting through the learning that we may have expected. However this can also highlight to me areas that need focus for individuals.

**What problems is Security Journey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using it to show compliance to certified secure coding standards that are required as part of our annual review.

In addition to high quality training that changes developer behavior we also pride ourselves on making it easier for Learingin Administrators to run a training program.
