My company has been using Scanova for nearly five years, during which we’ve created over 30,000 dynamic QR codes for our printed materials. Their API for creating and modifying QR codes — including custom QR codes — is straightforward and extremely useful for our production workflows. Although I’m relatively new to the programming realm, I’ve had no issues tapping into their API through simple desktop scripts, which speaks to how well it’s designed.

Equally impressive is their support team. They are extremely prompt in addressing any concerns, and on several occasions, they’ve even implemented enhancements to accommodate some fairly esoteric requirements unique to our print advertising workflows. There’s honestly very little I dislike about Scanova. If I had to pick something, it would be the 100-character limit on QR code filenames. That said, it’s a minor issue and easily addressed on our end through simple desktop scripting to keep filenames within the limit. I’ve never raised this with their support team because the limitation is well-defined and manageable, so it hardly feels fair to classify it as a true “dislike.” Overall, the platform delivers exactly what we need.
