"Effortless Virtualization with Minimal Training"
4/5
What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

I appreciate the SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite for its simplicity of management and reliability. It's particularly valuable because we have a small IT team and can't support complex deployment. HyperCore allows us to use complex enterprise features with minimal training. The installation wasn't difficult as it was supported by the Scale support team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

Sometimes we miss the ability to see granular performance in the console, but it's not a major concern rather a nice to have. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Virtualization without the headache"
4.5/5
What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

Simple to use, has amazing support, and one vendor to deal with, unlike other solutions where when there is an issue they all point at each other. Easy to install and maintain. Performance has been solid. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

My current clusters the NIC's are not able to be setup in a Adaptive Load Balancing Active/Active setup. Would prefer that. Would also like to see promiscuous mode available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Scale is the way to go!"
5/5
What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

Simplicity, ease of use of use. With scale snapshots you can make a quick recovery if an update breaks things. I do scale updates during normal business hours, no more late evenings waiting on things to update. The cost was better than the competition. Support is really great, they handle issues quickly, if you even have any. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

Sometimes an update can stall, but Scale support responds quickly and resolves the issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive and Easy to Manage for Confident Server Administration"
5/5
What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

I appreciate how easy Scale is to manage. The platform is intuitive, allowing any member of our technology team to confidently administer and maintain our servers without requiring specialized expertise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

Overall, I am very satisfied with the platform and its capabilities. One feature I would like to see is more granular remote access controls, allowing administrators to grant specific users remote access to only designated servers rather than providing broader access permissions. "Rock solid performance - great tech support"
5/5
What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

I like the simplicity of the Scale Computing Platform vs VMWare and HyperV. Prior to moving to Scale Computing we had a full 7' rack of equipment and another half rack to run our environment. With that were a multitude of cables that were hard to keep up with, and we didn't even have advanced failover features such as VMotion, etc.

Scale Computing simplified the entire setup dramatically with less cabling and just a few rack units of space in comparison. Plus it comes with the more advanced failover, high availability and disaster recovery features out of the box. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

There is not much to dislike about Scale Computing in my opinion. If I had to choose one thing it would be that new downloaded virtual machines are a little more difficult to deploy because they are typically made for VMWare or HyperV and usually not for Scale or KVM. That is a small inconvenience though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Platform - Great Solution - Look forward to our upgrade"
5/5
What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

After working in a VM Ware environment I find the Scale Platform very easy to manage. And a fantastic solution for mid-market companies Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

I found issues related to the O/S upgrade an issue but nothing major. As in most platforms some tasks may not go smoothly. Overall the Scale platform has given us flexibility we might not have in other solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Scale Computing HC3: Simplified Infrastructure with Practical Tradeoffs"
5/5
What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

What I like best about the Scale Computing platform is its simplicity and operational efficiency. The HC3 architecture consolidates compute, storage, and virtualization into a single, tightly integrated solution, which eliminates the complexity of managing multiple vendors and layers of infrastructure.

From a day-to-day standpoint, the platform is extremely easy to deploy, manage, and scale. Tasks that are traditionally time-intensive—such as provisioning VMs, expanding storage, or performing upgrades—are streamlined and can be completed quickly without specialized expertise.

The built-in high availability and self-healing capabilities provide confidence in uptime and resilience without requiring additional licensing or complex configuration. This is especially valuable in environments where IT resources are limited but reliability is critical.

Additionally, the reduced administrative overhead and predictable performance make it a strong fit for distributed environments and MSP-managed clients, where consistency and ease of support are key.

Overall, it delivers enterprise-level capability with a much simpler operational model compared to traditional hypervisor and SAN-based architectures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

What I dislike about the Scale Computing platform is primarily centered around its limitations compared to more mature, enterprise-grade ecosystems. While the simplicity is a strength, it can also become a constraint in more complex environments.

The platform has a more limited feature set when it comes to advanced networking, integrations, and customization. Organizations that rely on highly granular controls, third-party integrations, or specialized configurations may find the platform restrictive compared to solutions like VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V.

Additionally, visibility and reporting can be somewhat limited. For MSPs and larger environments, deeper analytics, monitoring integrations, and centralized multi-cluster management capabilities would improve operational efficiency.

There can also be challenges around ecosystem support. Not all backup, security, or third-party tools integrate as seamlessly, which can require workarounds or limit standardization across environments.

Finally, while the platform is easy to use, troubleshooting can sometimes be less transparent due to the abstraction of underlying systems. This can make deeper diagnostics more difficult compared to traditional architectures where administrators have more direct control.

Overall, the platform is excellent for simplicity and ease of use, but it can fall short in flexibility, extensibility, and advanced feature depth for more complex or highly standardized IT environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Virtualization with SC// HyperCore"
5/5
What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

I really appreciate the ease of use and how quickly I can get up to speed with SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite without needing in-depth long training to get started. We value using the replication feature as part of our disaster recovery plan to have replications off-site. It's great to be able to import VMware templates into our scale platform environment. I'm looking forward to starting to use Fleet Manager to manage our clusters remotely. The initial setup went well and didn't take very long; we were up and running in a relatively short amount of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

I would like to be able to use the HyperCore platform on our own hardware. With the increased cost of hardware and the demand from AI data centers on hardware, prices for memory, and other server hardware, it would be nice to run this on older hardware that we already own.
