"Streamlined VM Management & Improved VM performance after migration"
5/5
What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

I really appreciate how the Scale Computing Platform simplifies the process of setting up virtual machines (VMs). Unlike VMware, which involves numerous settings and layers that I find cumbersome, Scale Computing allows me to stand up a VM in just thirty seconds. This streamlined process makes it significantly easier to manage resources efficiently and be more nimble in making them available for specific applications or departments. The platform provides a much cleaner and simpler view for editing and modifying VMs, helping to avoid issues that can arise from misconfigured settings often encountered in more complex systems like VMware. Its simplicity and efficiency are truly valuable to me as they save me considerable time and allow my IT operations to be faster and more flexible. This agility is particularly beneficial in our 24/7 operational environment, where quick and adaptive responses to VM needs are essential. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

With the latest software update I can now copy/paste over to VMs from my local machine which has proved super helpful. Additionally, while setting things up initially was straightforward, transitioning VMs from VMware to Scale has been challenging. As our facility operates 24/7, taking VMs down for hours during the transition is impractical, and the tools we've used, such as Acronis and now OpenText, while functional, have made the process lengthy, especially for large VMs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"HyperCore Delivers Rock-Solid Uptime with an Intuitive Management Interface"
4.5/5
What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

HyperCore has been a strong performer in our environment. The management interface is clean and intuitive, and our team got comfortable with it quickly without a significant ramp-up period. Performance has been the other major win: we haven’t had a single meaningful downtime event since switching, which, in a logistics operation, is the number that matters most. From a pricing and ROI standpoint, the value has been clear. Consolidating compute, storage, and virtualization into one platform has reduced complexity, and the reliability alone has justified the investment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

There are a few areas where there’s room for improvement. On the integrations side, the documentation could be more robust. When you need to connect Hypercore to external platforms or line-of-business applications, the available resources aren’t always as detailed as you’d like.

Support has been adequate overall, but response times on lower-priority issues can be slower than ideal. A faster turnaround across all priority levels would improve the experience.

The AI and intelligence features are an area we haven’t been able to explore yet, which is partly on us. That said, better guided onboarding around those capabilities would make it easier for teams to know where to start and what value they can expect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Rock-Solid Migration from VMware with Straightforward UI and Great Support"
5/5
What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

From start to finish, SCALE has been a great company to work with. We began with a small POC in a branch office, and after that success, we chose them for our migration away from VMware. The product itself has been rock-solid. On the few occasions we’ve needed support, the team has been helpful and knowledgeable, and the sales team was also very helpful leading up to the purchase.

The UI is straightforward and easy to navigate, but it still includes the core settings and features we need. It also has the integrations that matter to us (like Veeam and Entra SSO). On top of that, the cost ended up being about 2/3 of what VMware would have been. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

The main thing that feels missing is a true template feature. You can sort of work around it by cloning VMs, but it would be great to have a more robust, dedicated template option built in. Also, depending on what you’re looking for, the lack of AI integration right now could be seen as either a drawback or a positive. I’m not interested in having a chatbot added just to check a box, but I could see AI becoming a useful feature down the road if it’s implemented thoughtfully. "Great Hyperconverged option. Top of the class, great bang for the buck."
5/5
What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

I find the software to be easy to use and very robust. The back end and snapshots work really well. The UI/UX is solid and the items are in the locations you expect them to be.

In our experience, the support has been top notch, we've never had an issue raise where we didn't have an answer and a conversation with support in over 4 hours. The price is excellent for the features as well. And it doesn't get all crazy like VMWare does these days.

Definitely our preferred replacement for the production stacks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

There isn't really anything I dislike. The product does what it is designed to do and has very few hiccups or quirks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I'm pretty new with it, but it already has saved me a ton of work"
4.5/5
What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

I'm not an expert and I find the UI simple to navigate and use. Provisioning, building, cloning and snapshotting streamlines everything so there's a lot more time for actually using our systems. Moivng between nodes is also so smooth that no one knows when we're balancing or updating our cluster. T Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

We had a number of problems getting the network up and going like we needed it, so all setup had to be done via console directly connected. It seems a lot of this was due to the Cisco switches and not our Scale nodes, but they all came as a package deal for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Cluster Uptime, But Missing Migration Tools and Snapshot Backup Integration"
3/5
What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

If you can swing the cost, having a cluster environment is the best option to go with as you can do upgrades of the system while keeping it fully opertational and also if you have to take a node down for hardware replacement you can do so while keeping the system operational. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

They lack built-in P2V and V2V migration tools, as well as snapshot backup integration with backup software vendors. The GUI feels overly simplified and not as feature-rich as some other products. They also don’t allow you to run the guest from attached storage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simplistic VM Hosting with Support Dependency"
3/5
What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

I like that SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite allows us to host virtual machines and applications across a small number of physical devices, which reduces complexity compared to traditional multi-cluster hosting solutions. The simple administration makes it manageable for a small team, which I find beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

I don't like the inability to diagnose or address urgent issues on my own and have to rely fully on support. Also, compatibility with other products at an OS level could be improved. The initial setup was a 7 out of 10 for me; while there were decent guides on the Scale side, help with networking or understanding the backplane vs LAN was minimal. Also, while we switched from VMware due to pricing, SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite is not much less expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable technology and efficient support without break your budget"
5/5
What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

Yo got all the benefits of Hyperconvergence without spend a lot of money, easy to deploy and do not need so much work on maintenance, the support platform is easy to use, phone contact is smooth, replication is very efficient, you can get production and development enviroments together in one platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

Some vendors do not have specific deploys for VM compatible with Scale systems, but you can ever convert VM's to Scale. The UI is not too fancy but it does what you really need. The platform could improve a bit more on integrations to monitor internal resources with external software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Network Setup and Integrated Storage Make Administration a Breeze"
4.5/5
What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

Easy Network setup, especially compared to other hypervisors. I am impressed by the integrated storage management engine, which makes administration a breeze. So far we had no issues with performance on our ssd/hdd cluster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?

I think the management interface could use a modern update. I believe this is on the roadmap though.

Integration with 3rd parties is still lacking, for example while Veeam supports Scale, a lot of features are no available (eg SureBackup). I'm hopeful if Scale reaches a higher market share this will make 3rd parties accelerate their development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
