**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sidharth S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2020

**What do you like best about SAP Fiori?**

SAP Fiori has been used by our organization for many years now, we have been using this interface for our testing and production environments for carrying out the on-boarding process. SAP Fiori interface is very easy to use, with not much time to be spent on training the employees on how to use the application. Also the integration of the interface with other SAP servers which at very ease integrates the data.

**What do you dislike about SAP Fiori?**

The one problem which we have faced with SAP fiori interface is that sometimes it becomes very slow, the interface takes a lot of time to load which becomes very annoying at times.

**What problems is SAP Fiori solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has become very easy for us to do the on-boarding process, there are no complications in using the software. Even along with the individual on-boarding of users, it has enabled us to upload bulk data for the users. This makes the time consuming process very simple and time saving.

  ### 14. SAP Fiori is a game changer for SAP, and an innovation for the wider tech world

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David S. | Lead Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2020

**What do you like best about SAP Fiori?**

It's simplicity. It's easy to understand and there's extensive documentation provided by SAP into how SAP Fiori can be applied to development in any ecosystem or tech stack. It sets a new standard on how to deliver contextual help, in a role-based environment to ultimately prioritise the user experience as never before. The key aim to deliver a delightful user experience can be a difficulty for technically focused teams without specialist training - however, SAP Fiori explains guidelines that can be understood and adhered to by all - including user interface designers, user experience experts, developers and consultants alike.

**What do you dislike about SAP Fiori?**

There's often confusion between SAP Fiori and SAP UI5. SAP UI5 implements Fiori guidelines but I don't think it's emphasised enough that Fiori isn't the same as UI5! Fiori is design and user experience standards that can be useful and applied to any tech stack! UI5 is a JavaScript framework delivered by SAP that adheres to these standards. Let the world know what you can follow SAP Fiori in any application development if you decide it's a good fit for your development!

**Recommendations to others considering SAP Fiori:**

Trial it on some smaller projects or projects with less pressure or a less rigid timeframe. This will give you time to explore and implement the framework properly - and most important give you the practice of doing so so that you can understand what works and what does not!

SAP Fiori is implemented in related technologies so front-end developers need to start learning SAP UI5 and start migrating away from Web Dynpro apps and standard GUI transactions as the opportunity presents itself on existing applications.

For new greenfield projects, SAP Fiori should be seen as the go-to guidelines.

On the backend side of things, SAP ABAP developers should become familiar with the oData implementation and related transactions such as the Gateway Service Builder to be able to seamlessly connect the backend ABAP code and database to the frontends development in SAP UI5, implementing the Fiori guidelines.

**What problems is SAP Fiori solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Fiori helps to deliver consistent design and user experience. Along with the standard apps delivered by SAP, custom apps developed to meet these standards are familiar in look and feel to users, even if they haven't used one of your products before! Being able to seamlessly integrate Fiori design into web app development has resulted in much bigger uptake of new systems by users and much-increased productivity of those users.

Compared to the old style SAP GUI interfaces and Web Dynpro applications, users find it much easier to find what they are looking for in applications that adhere to SAP Fiori guidelines. No longer do users have to dig through lots of information that isn't relevant to themselves, their role or their department.

Pace of innovation , Lack of segregation of applications as per business process . Fiori is not yet became the single Ui technology in manjoirty of the market . Customization for the fiori tiles is little convoluted for functional and end users to understand . Firi admin has lot of issues initially before we tackle it . Development on th efiori takes more effort as its integrated with multiple backend systems with little complex architecture .

**Recommendations to others considering SAP Fiori:**

SAP Fiori is user experience which has unified architecture . It is simple and easy to use and reduces manual effort

**What problems is SAP Fiori solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fiori helped in smooth knowledge transfer and change management process . It is very adaptable and easy to use . ### 17. Fiori is SAP's move towards mobile and agile at a whole new level.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kuntal R. | SAP BW & HANA Developer/Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2020

**What do you like best about SAP Fiori?**

The Fiori Tiles and the amazing user interface that it provides is amazing. With this SAP has really ventured into the integrated user experience. Be it operational KPIs or Analytical overviews, all can be seemlessly packaged into well designed interface for a business user to get a fully customized and personalized SAP experience. With the power of HANA tools its the best tool for any business to use.

**What do you dislike about SAP Fiori?**

Sometimes depending on the business and data volume, the support can be really huge effort wise in the beginning. However, over time it settles down and gives does one job best, that is, keep the user happy and informed about the most critical aspects of their job profile.

**Recommendations to others considering SAP Fiori:**

Use it with S4HANA and you can have the best of both worlds of Operational and Analytical reporting.

**What problems is SAP Fiori solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to provide critical KPIs to businesses, with options of overview reporting, operational reporting in real time and analytical reporting jumps from one interface. The user can have a glance over all their crtical information in minutes instead of hours and also have the option to really get detailed real time or historical information when the need arises. Such powerful business intelligence was never so integrated and impactful before.

  ### 18. SAP Fiori, innovative user experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohan V. | SAP MM Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2020

**What do you like best about SAP Fiori?**

User friendly, guided experience, easy to use and learn fast with browser experience

**What do you dislike about SAP Fiori?**

Felt slow response, in virtual environment.
Going to Home screen, when a app is 'exited' or 'back' arrow is clicked, it is better app goes to main screen instead of going to Home screen

**Recommendations to others considering SAP Fiori:**

Designed to meet the requirement of Digital transformation, away from old GUI based experience, gives browser experience and more

**What problems is SAP Fiori solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a Functional Consultant, using SAP Fiori for validating the configuration, Master data, Single Function test, Functional Unit test etc., SAP Fiori Web browser access is powerful and faster than GUI, but Some app functionality are different in SAP Fiori, e.g., App SQVI, in GUI facility join table and select list field, selection field together was easier, unable to find the window to add list field and selection field in SAP Fiori, Simple table join is giving error table should be left join or right join, whereas in GUI able to join table (simple ) either left or right

  ### 19. Fast Work Flow Manage!

  ### 20. Awesome product. Can be customized as requirement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2020

**What do you like best about SAP Fiori?**

Easy to integrate and customize. We have developed various FIORI GUI and helps a lot of end users to use with ease. The the compatibility with mobile app is also good.

**What do you dislike about SAP Fiori?**

The user are having the ease of using it with mobile app. Which helps a lot.

  ### 21. Intuitive user friendly Fiori apps

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elena V. | Global Process Owner for Training, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2020

**What do you like best about SAP Fiori?**

SAP Fiori is much more user friendly than the classical SAP Graphic User Interface screens. Behind each tile there is a transaction code which a user won't need to memorize which is the case for GUI. It requires a tremendous work to configure each tile correctly and once done the tiles can be united into groups and assigned to a User profile. Fiori apps are intuitive thus require less investment into the intelligence of staff, less training effort. Enjoyable user experience.

**What do you dislike about SAP Fiori?**

In my experience it requires a lot of preparation work in advance to do the right configurations of Fiori apps and it is critical to get the right IT architect resource in place who would understand the requirements and do the job once without redoing it.

Not all transactions from ERP are converted to SAP Fiori applications, so SAP GUI must still be used in some cases. The cloud edition uses only SAP Fiori applications, and there are no classic SAP GUI screens.

**Recommendations to others considering SAP Fiori:**

Each SAP Fiori application is built around the user, rather than the function. As a result, the screens are very simple and uncluttered. A key goal of any SAP Fiori application is to ensure that a user can complete a task with as few clicks as possible.
In the past, users could find themselves working with many different interfaces, each one with a completely different look and feel, even when they only had one task to complete. With SAP Fiori, users require little training, because the simple screens are intuitive, with only the essential information and options available.
Imagine checking a customer inquiry from SAP CRM using the SAP Portal interface, and then moving to SAP GUI to check the stock availability in ERP. Completely different interfaces are used with their own style and features, with different buttons, menus, and tools. With SAP Fiori, users work with just one design.
The SAP GUI is still available with the on-premise edition, and can be used alongside SAP Fiori.

**What problems is SAP Fiori solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Business software solves the accessibility problem. User Interface is focusing more on the User experience rather than the functionality. Fiori apps can be used even on a tablet or a smartphone.
It's a role based application approach and a user is exposed only to relevant data.

  ### 22. Great product but need to be polished.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ankur K. | Module Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2020

**What do you like best about SAP Fiori?**

The best thing is that less coding is required. So it reduces the development time.
You can quickly create applications and deliver to the client. Overall user experience is also good.
Basic functionalities could be achieved without any difficulty and extension points are available to fulfill specific functionalities.
Fiori has specific components to address the day to day requirements of the clients.

**What do you dislike about SAP Fiori?**

You can create the components with annotations.
But there is very little scope to enhance ui using the css.
If you take the example of list report, if you want to have the custom width to columns then you have to save it to custom variant but gllobal filter doesn't pass in the custom variant. There is no option for column background/Row background.
These are the basic requirements for the client. Which must be addressed to enhance the usability of Fiori.

**Recommendations to others considering SAP Fiori:**

Sap Fiori is the most suitable option which can meet your day to day requirements if you want less cost of development and maintenance.

**What problems is SAP Fiori solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickly create applications using annotations.Less cost of development and maintenance.
Overall user experience is good. It addresses the day to day reporting needs of the client.

  ### 23. Big potential but room for improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexander B. | S/4 HANA Finance Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 22, 2020

**What do you like best about SAP Fiori?**

- Contemporary design and more appealing/intuitive optical features as opposed to classic GUI
- Single point of entry for integrated system environments whereby entire system landscapes of an entreprise can be accessed through FLP

**What do you dislike about SAP Fiori?**

- Useful features for mass data processing not supported in native UI5 apps (e.g. upload from clipboard)

- Webgui-based Fiori applications are not optimized for in-browser usage which leads to inefficiencies in navigation (a lot of manual scrolling required) and a deteriorated user experience

- Analytical apps often too rigid in terms of simple configuration (e.g. peek preview and of purchasing spend only available in EUR (hardcoded) even though operational/functional currency is USD; if available currency conversion doesn’t follow currency configurations defined in back-end)

- FLP groups do not allow for easy way of sub-structuring (e.g. Finance Transactional Accounting as main group, then option to create sub-group per line of business would be nice to have)

- FLP should allow for basic sorting and layouting of Fiori groups (e.g groups in drill-down navigation list should be sortable by alphabet, within groups blank rows or line feeds should be allowed to crete logical groupings, etc.)

- Better integration with SOLMAN executables desirable for easier analysis on which operational roles have which apps assigned

**What problems is SAP Fiori solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Single point of entry rather than dispersed system landscape
- Personalised logon-page for every business user with predefined of most relevant Fiori tiles per job which is provisioned via SAP IdM in a fully automated way

  ### 24. enjoying the simplicity it brings when creating enterprise level UI / web app

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tanmay j. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2020

**What do you like best about SAP Fiori?**

SAP Fiori Guideline really bring a fresh take on old SAP Logon UI.

Before SAP Fiori / UI5 I used to hate working with SAP because UI felt like straight from 90's
I understand the amount of complexity that goes behind it and features that it make user available
but still the UX was not good for me at least who before working with SAP has worked with modern tools.

**What do you dislike about SAP Fiori?**

SAP Fiori, like Apple inc keeps you entangled within SAP ecosystem.

Would love to see more openness to connect with Non-SAP tech stack, although atleast with SAP Fiori & ui5 there is some way possible to do this.

**What problems is SAP Fiori solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using SAP Fiori/ UI5 to create apps that my clients use to keep track of logistics/ transport on phone, tablet, PC.

We have created Fiori based UI5 apps for big logistics / transportation companies in US
- they wanted to keep track of Cargo, Trains, Material used and Access Approvals etc.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Semiconductors | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2020

**What do you like best about SAP Fiori?**

The web based interface is intuitive and less busy than a standard SAP screen. This brings SAP forward in the ERP industry and allows users to experience SAP without weeks of training.

**What do you dislike about SAP Fiori?**

None of the standard apps really fit much need for the business. It really does require a lot of customization to make it useful. Though this is nothing new in the SAP landscape. While this is the case, it is not difficult to create or change Fiori application.

Make sure you have the right technical team to get you to the best solution. UX is key.

**What problems is SAP Fiori solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 32. SAP Fiori Development Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2020

**What do you like best about SAP Fiori?**

Fiori is user-oriented. Maintenance and Development is extremely fun! Maintenance and security of each applications is very easy. Since maintenance of tiles are role-based, it is very to limit what a user should or should not see.

**What do you dislike about SAP Fiori?**

Since Fiori is a relatively new technology, development can become quite hard since multiple new technologies are involved in the development of objects. Maintainability of objects may also be tricky since objects from the Gateway system are connected to multiple objects in different ABAP or HANA systems. There's a lot of tracing that could happen, should I program fail to work.

**Recommendations to others considering SAP Fiori:**

Keep practicing. Learning new tech such as SAP UI5 is key! It would also be beneficial to also learn different SAP languages/technologies like SAP ABAP. Learning ABAP would greatly impact development since it is needed to develop the backend part of Fiori which involves OData.

**What problems is SAP Fiori solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creation of Objects for CRM and P2P, STC modules has been very challenging. Since I'm an ABAP Developer, developing UI5 has been a challenged since it uses Javascript which is a very different language compared to ABAP. Development can also be hard if the previous developer of an SAP object used a different Javascript framework. It will be very hard to maintain if it is not SAP UI5.

  ### 33. Useful but not essential

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2019

**What do you like best about SAP Fiori?**

With it's simple layout, it's easy to keep track of when your colleagues have booked leave which in turn allows the company to be more efficient. This is especially useful when you have a big team where it's difficult to keep track of everyone's leave.

**What do you dislike about SAP Fiori?**

It's not particularly user friendly despite its simple interface. It took a long time for me to work out how to add other members of my team to my view, in which time I had added some unwanted tabs that seem to be impossible to get rid of.

**What problems is SAP Fiori solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's easy for employees to see when they can book annual leave based on who is already off during a particular time, making it easy for them to plan their time off and helping the team to run more efficiently.

It helped in futher design and planning of improvements. It also ensured that the correct user should be able to access the correct tiles regardless of past roles and personalization.

Nothing at the moment, but it would be great if this is more endorsed at all the social media level.
