"Efficient and User-Friendly Finance Platform"
5/5
What do you like best about Rippling Finance?

I like how Rippling Finance brings payroll, expenses, and financial operations together in one place, which makes everyday tasks feel much more efficient.

The automation tools save me a lot of time, and the interface is clean, modern, and easy to navigate.

By keeping everything connected within a single platform, it streamlines financial workflows and cuts down on manual work.

I also appreciate how intuitive it is overall. Managing expenses and other finance-related tasks feels straightforward, organized, and easy to stay on top of.

The seamless integration with HR and payroll helps make financial processes smoother and more accurate from start to finish. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rippling Finance?

Some of the more advanced features come with a bit of a learning curve, especially for new users. I’d also like to see more customization options for reports and dashboards. Occasionally, certain workflows take a few extra clicks than I’d expect, which can slow things down a little. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless integration makes corporate spending and expense tracking completely effortless."
4.5/5
What do you like best about Rippling Finance?

The thing I love most about Rippling spend is how it deeply connects financial controls with our actual company roster. Because it pulls data directly from our HR system, the automation is unmatched. For instance, when we recently onboarded a new remote marketing manager, Rippling automatically issued them a virtual corporate card with a pre-set $500 budget for software subscriptions based entirely on their job title. On the expense management side, it completely eliminates the usual receipt-chasing nightmare. Our team can just snap a photo of a restaurant receipt during a client dinner on the mobile app, and the AI instantly matches it to the transaction, checks it against our travel policy, and routes it for approval without anyone lifting a finger. It gives us total real-time visibility into where company money is going. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rippling Finance?

While the platform is incredibly powerful, the initial setup can feel a bit overwhelming—especially for companies with highly complex, multi-layered approval chains. In our case, mapping and fine-tuning custom rules across different departments took some trial and error before everything worked exactly as intended.

Also, to really get the most out of the automated spend features, it helps to be embedded in the broader Rippling ecosystem. If a company tries to use it strictly as a standalone tool without syncing it to Rippling’s core HR or payroll modules, it can feel a bit heavy, and they may miss out on the automated onboarding and offboarding card controls that are a big part of what makes it so effective. "Real time visibility into company expenses without checking receipts manually."
4.5/5
What do you like best about Rippling Finance?

What I love most is how the system connects directly to our core company directory to automate policies and limits. We can instantly deploy corporate cards to employees with dynamic spending controls based on their role or department. The mobile app makes it incredibly simple for team members to snap a picture of their receipt, which the system automatically scans, categorizes, and matches to the card transaction in real time. It has drastically cut down the time we spend chasing receipts and auditing out-of-pocket expenses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rippling Finance?

While the policy engine is highly customizable, creating multi-tiered or highly granular approval workflows for complex, multinational teams can feel restrictive during the initial configuration. Additionally, the deep synchronization with accounting general ledgers like QuickBooks or NetSuite is great, but it can occasionally require manual mapping adjustments if your finance team updates your corporate chart of accounts. "Centralized expense and approval management that saves time"
5/5
What do you like best about Rippling Finance?

What I liked most about Rippling Spend was how it brought expense management and approval workflows together in one centralized platform. Employees could submit expenses and upload supporting documents without hassle, and managers had clear visibility into spending as well as each item's approval status. The interface felt intuitive and required very little training, so onboarding new team members was straightforward and the support resources filled in any gaps quickly.

It performed reliably in day-to-day use, even during high-volume periods at month-end close, and its integrations with our accounting and HR systems cut down on manual work and duplicate data entry. The AI-assisted features were a pleasant surprise — automatic receipt scanning and expense categorization caught miscodings before they reached approval, and the system flagged potential duplicate or out-of-policy charges on its own, which saved our finance team a lot of review time.

From a finance perspective, the improved visibility into spending patterns and approvals strengthened expense control and made it easier to spot savings. The pricing was reasonable for the breadth of functionality, and the ROI showed up fairly quickly through reduced manual processing and fewer costly errors — making the overall process more streamlined and cost-effective. What do you dislike about Rippling Finance?

The biggest drawback was that getting full value out of Rippling Spend really depends on being in the broader Rippling ecosystem — the integrations with our existing accounting and HR tools weren't always as deep as we wanted, and a few syncs required manual reconciliation that we'd hoped to avoid. On the UI/UX side, while the core flows are clean, some of the more advanced reporting and admin settings are buried in menus that take a while to learn, and navigating between modules isn't always intuitive for occasional users.

Performance was generally solid, but we noticed occasional lag and slower load times during high-volume periods like month-end close, which is exactly when speed matters most. The AI-assisted features — receipt scanning and auto-categorization — were helpful but not perfect; they still misread some receipts and required manual correction, so they save time rather than fully eliminating the work. Pricing was also a consideration: the value is there, but the cost can climb as you add modules and seats, and it felt better suited to companies already standardizing on Rippling than to those wanting just the spend piece. Support and onboarding were decent, though response times on more complex or technical issues were slower than we'd like, and some answers required follow-up before they fully resolved the problem. "Rippling Spend integrations with Quickbooks"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Rippling Finance?

It's ability to sync to Quickbooks online and include a link to the expense receipt in the journal description. This makes filing receipts easy and looking them up as well. I can already imagine how quickly I will be able to provide my auditors receipts when requested. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rippling Finance?

When the expenses are synced to Quickbooks, it uses the posting date in QBO based on submission date and not the date on the receipt. I go around this by going to the journal and editing the date. Rippling makes this easy by having the journal link on Rippling itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple and easy to use Spend solution!"
5/5
What do you like best about Rippling Finance?

This is a Spend tool that’s simple to implement and easy to use and manage. We were previously using a standalone spend tool, but after switching to Rippling HCM, we decided to watch a demo of the spend tool as well, and it was an instant yes for us. We aim to provide a simple, consistent experience for our team members, and now they don’t have to log in to another app to enter expenses or submit reimbursement requests. Rippling is the single app they need to use for their day-to-day needs. As the payroll admin, I now have an almost automated way to manage spend and process it alongside payroll. What do you dislike about Rippling Finance?

Nothing at all! It is serving our needs perfectly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Rippling’s Intuitive All-in-One Platform Saves Us Time"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Rippling Finance?

Being an all-in-one solution for benefits, payroll, and reimbursements is a benefit. Previously, we had a separate tool for benefits vs. reimbursements so the fact that Rippling can combine them is a time-saver. The Rippling UI is also very intuitive: for example, the process of creating an expense report and submitting new reimbursement items to that expense report is a fairly intuitive process that I appreciate Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rippling Finance?

So far, there are no dislikes. The tool covers all my needs in an easy-to-use way, both for me and my manager Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible Spending Solution, but with Reporting Challenges for QBDesktop"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Rippling Finance?

I like Rippling Spend's great rebate program for our spending, which is a nice bonus. The automatic text reminders for employees when they spend is really convenient, making the process seamless and reducing friction for obtaining receipt copies and necessary accounting information. It's helpful that Rippling Spend also assists in monitoring employee approval workflows and terminations/new hires since they are our payroll vendor. Additionally, it offers more control functionality and reporting features compared to American Express, like capturing receipt images and issuing multiple cards without incurring multiple fees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rippling Finance?

The reporting has been pretty troublesome. Not all fields available for employees are available to be exported into Excel. Also, during demo/onboarding we were told there was an IIF file for QuickBooks Desktop, which is on a hosted server, but after many hours of trying, it does not work. Trying to work with their support team has been frustrating. Rippling does not integrate well with QuickBooks Desktop in my experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
