What do you like best about Rightworks Cloud Hosting?

Rightworks cloud hosting gives me and my clients a great way of hosting a QuickBooks Desktop product, so we can both work at the same time and not have to keep taking the time to update our product, update our servers or computers for space or to keep compliant.

I have also found this same platform helpful for keeping file folders for my clients statements, receipts, etc and keeping them safe and secure as well as backed up. Over the years of me using Rightworks, I started with them for the QuickBooks Desktop hosting capability and quickly found myself moving my whole work platform for where I work on a day to day basis to their platform, with the extra level of security and the daily backups.

I use Rightworks for both my Cloud Hosting and also my IT Provider, I feel comfortable, secure and at ease knowing they have my back for my accounting firm and my clients and at an affordable price. There tech support is always extremely kind, supportive and extremely helpful....they go above and beyond!! They are always there to answer the most complex or simple (somewhat stupid) questions I ask. There platform is rarely ever down and if it is...its not for very long or I am done as well. What do you dislike about Rightworks Cloud Hosting?

I don't like that you have to buy a certain more expensive Microsoft office platform to use in their environment, so I still continue to keep files their, but have to copy and paste still to my computer to open an excel spreadsheet. I would like to be able to bring my own Microsoft license up to their platform.

I would really love to see them team with someone like teamviewer to offer us an affordable option for remote control to use with our clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Rightworks Cloud Hosting?

I love how Rightworks Cloud Hosting allows me to access my QuickBooks Desktop from anywhere without needing a VPN. It's easy to use and very convenient for situations like working from home or even when I'm on an extended vacation and need to squeeze in some work. What do you like best about Rightworks Cloud Hosting?

What do you dislike about Rightworks Cloud Hosting?

The communication between QuickBooks and RightWorks has been incredibly frustrating. Each company keeps blaming the other, making it impossible to get a resolution. When it was finally confirmed that the issue was on RightWorks' end, we spent 20 minutes on the phone with an agent—only for them to hang up. We got another agent on the line, but after an hour, they couldn’t resolve anything either.

Then yesterday, I spent three and a half hours on the phone, still with no solution. I was told to check back this morning, but instead, I received an email at 3 AM saying the ticket was closed because there was no response. Of course, I didn’t respond—I don’t work at 3 AM. When I logged in at 8 AM to check if the issue was resolved, it wasn’t, and now I can’t even use the ticket because it was closed before I had a chance to follow up.

This is beyond frustrating. I’ve spent nearly an entire workday just sitting on calls with no progress.The issue is simply getting our QuickBooks updated with an update that was released two weeks ago. Shouldn't RightWorks be updating the QuickBooks application the night the update is released? In the tech world, updates typically impact how an application operates, so you’d think this would be a critical priority for the RightWorks team.

From this experience, it’s clear that neither RightWorks nor QuickBooks truly stand behind their products. We’ve had nothing but issues since day one trying to use them together. This lack of coordination and support is beyond frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
